About the Editors
Angela Abela is Associate Professor
and Head of the Department of
Family Studies at the University of
Malta. She is a clinical psychologist,
family therapist, and supervisor and
has published widely in the area of
children and families. She is a
consultant for the Maltese
government and a frequent expert of
the Council of Europe.
Janet Walker, OBE, is Emeritus
Professor of Family Policy in the
Institute of Health and Society,
Newcastle University. She has
directed over 50 major studies
relating to marriage, divorce, couple
relationships and changes in family
life, and worked on a number of key
Government Committees.
