Thestudent’scompliancewiththecompulsoryschoolattendancelaw.A YouthOptionsstudentmustremainenrolledinhighschool,evenifthe studentchoosestoattendtechnicalcollegefull‐time.Ifthestudent withdrawsorstopsattendingoneormoreLTCclass,thestudentmustreturn tohighschoolforthatportionofthestudent’seducationaldayandcomply withWisconsin’scompulsoryattendancelaw. 2. Thestudent’stransportationtoandfromthetechnicalcollege.The parent/guardianofapupilwhoisattendingtechnicalcollegeandistakinga course(s)forhighschoolcreditmayapplytoDPIforreimbursementifthe parent/guardianisunabletopay. 3. Ifneeded,requestservicesfromLTC’sDisabilityServicesCoordinatorby contactingyourLTCHighSchoolCareerCoachpriortothestartofthecourse. WhatareLTCresponsibilities? 1. LTCwill: a. Withdrawal(CourseAdd/Drop)Policy Studentswhowishtoaddordropclasses,changesectionsofaclass,orwithdraw fromLTCmustnotifytheirHighSchoolCareerCoachimmediatelyuponmakingthis decisionandfollowtheofficialwithdrawalprocessasstatedintheStudent Handbook. Ifastudentdoesnotgothroughthecorrectprocessitispossiblethestudent willreceiveafailinggradewhichwillaffectgradepointaverageandfuture financialaideligibilityfollowinghighschoolgraduation.Ifastudentdoesnot completetheofficialwithdrawalprocess,thehighschoolisresponsibleforthe costofthecourseregardlessofthereasonforneedingtowithdraw.Not attendingclassdoesnotautomaticallywithdrawastudent. StudentRecords TheFamilyEducationalRightsandPrivacyActof1974,asamended,governthe releaseofinformationtothepublic. Recordsarenotreleasedtoparentswithoutconsentofthestudent.Gradereports areprintedattheendofeachterm.LakeshoreTechnicalCollege’sobligationisto notifythehighschoolofthegrade(s)thepupilreceived.Parentsandstudents shouldworkwiththehighschooltoobtaintheserecords.
