James L. and Mary Lou French Scholarship

The Scholarship is designed to award students at LTC. No age limit on the scholarship recipients. Must reside in
Sheboygan County. The Scholarship can be awarded to full- or part-time students, and can be renewed for their entire
degree program. The scholarship doesn’t have to be limited to one semester or academic year. No limit regarding career
areas. The selection of the recipients shall be based on: Financial Need (no FAFSA necessary), One required letter of
recommendation from teacher, counselor, employer, or mentor.

UMOS National Farmworkers Jobs Program

The purpose of the UMOS National Farmworkers Jobs program is to help families improve their economic wellbeing,
education, health and housing situations so they may better realize their potential.
To be eligible you must have worked on a farm during the previous two years.

DCF Scholarship Application for Youth in Out-of-Home Care
The Department of Children and Families Scholarship Program awards scholarship funds for youth who have been in outof-home care and are entering a degree, license or certificate program. Scholarships may be awarded up to the cost of
attendance and may not exceed $ 4000. Application can be attained at the Financial Aid Office.
Post-9/11 GI Bill: Marine Gunnery Sergeant John David Fry Scholarship
Public Law 111-32, the Marine Gunnery Sergeant John David Fry Scholarship, amends the Post-9/11 GI Bill (chapter 33) to
include the children of service members who died in the line of duty after September 10, 2001. The benefit is retroactively
effective to August 1, 2009; the same day the Post-9/11 GI Bill took effect. Eligible children attending school may receive up
to the highest public, in-state, undergraduate tuition and fees, plus a monthly living allowance and books and supplies
stipend under this program.

Jaycees of Wisconsin Foundation Inc.

This is a $ 500 scholarship that was developed to encourage and recognize individuals who have returned to school after a

Heroes’ Legacy Scholarship -
Opens in December
The "Heroes' Legacy Scholarships" program honors not only those who have fallen in battle, but all who have died or have
become disabled through their active military service since September 11, 2001. The program is open to their dependent
unmarried children under age 23. A disability is defined as one that results in the service member being eligible for, and
receiving, Traumatic Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance (TSGLI) or a permanent and total disability compensation

Scholarship for Military Spouses –

The program is administered by the National Military Family Association. Spouse scholarship and professional funds range
from $500 - $2500 and are available to military spouses with a valid military ID. See website for eligibility requirements.
Applications are open from December through January each year. The award is a one-time payment that must be used
within 12 months. You can apply each year, even if you have been awarded in the past.

Officer Craig Birkholz Scholarship

The Birky Challenge Scholarship Team, Inc. awards an annual scholarship to graduates of a high school in Fond du Lac or
Kenosha County high schools who are enrolled in a Wisconsin based college and pursing either a two-year or four-year
degree in Police Science or Criminal Justice. Students enrolled at UW Oshkosh or any military veteran pursuing said degree
are also eligible. Wearing Badge #67, Craig Birkholz was a City of Fond du Lac Police Officer who was killed in the line of
duty on March 20, 2011. He was a military veteran, a good husband and a dedicated police officer who set an example of
dedication to his job, commitment to good physical conditioning, using care & compassion carrying out his role as a police
officer.
The Birky Challenge Scholarship Team created a scholarship fund at the Fond du Lac Area Foundation that is supported by
the Birky 67 Challenge, an annual charity bicycle ride of 67 miles, in an effort to provide the financial help needed to enter
into a career as a police officer. It is hoped that this scholarship may help educate and prepare future police officers who
can be as effective and as impactful in his/ her community as Craig was.

The CourseMinded Online Course Scholarship $ 1,000

The CourseMinded Online Course Scholarship is a highly competitive award for those interested in online teaching and
online learning. It is available for high school and college undergraduate students who are passionate about online learning.
Students applying must list the online courses they’ve taught, have taken, or intent on taking, as well as why’re you’re
interested in online learning and what you think the future of online courses will look like. The website can be about anything
the student is passionate about.
JAYCESS of Wisconsin Foundation

Milwaukee Nari Foundation

The Milwaukee NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry) Foundation, Inc. is pleased to
announce a scholarship opportunity for current students for the first semester of the 2016-2017 academic
school year (September 2016 – December 2016).
Students taking at least 12 credits during the first semester of the 2016-17 academic year will be able to apply
for a $1,000 scholarship, while those taking 6-11 credits during that period can apply for a $500 scholarship.
Grade point average will provide a benchmark for evaluating applicants. However, emphasis will be placed on
the student’s demonstration of work ethic, motivation, dedication, follow through, and creativity. Only fully
