1933]; MD [Malta, 1937]; MRCP [U.K., 1946]; FRCP [U.K., 1965].
Career: joined the Medical & Health government services and the academic body of the Faculty of Medicine & Surgery eventually becoming Professor and Clinical Head of Medicine 1967; retired
1973. Achievements: served in various posts on the government medical and university boards. Published a large number of significant medical publications, with particular reference to diabetes. Nominated knight of the Military and
Hospitaller Order of St. Lazarus of Jerusalem in 1966 and eventually knight commander in 1979; served as Hospitaller to the
Grand Priory of the Maltese Islands.
