ICT M&O includes ICT infrastructure M&O, ICT service M&O, ICT business M&O, and ICT M&O services. Groups like ATIS TMOC and CCSA have done some work on ICT M&O standards. Still, ICT M&O common architecture is needed to reduce the gap between SDOs and enhance the traditional management framework. ICT M&O has to adapt to the new service evolution like IPTV or online gaming ICT M&O is expected to support the new telecom business mode, in which especially Telecom Operators today will provide huge-number of services since they are now playing more and more like roles of SP/NO (Network Operator), not only NO. Resolution Proposed to revise GSC13-RES-09 “ICT Management and operations” Legend: SP: Service provider NO: Network operator [ZP] Geneva, 13-16 July 2009 Fostering worldwide interoperability 13 Forums & Consortia (CCSA) Presentations GSC14-PLEN-67 + 67a1, 23R2 + 23R2a1 (69 for info) Summary Global forums become more active and involve the defacto and interoperability standard activities It is important to keep on the global Forums/consortium survey and take the analysis and statistics in the multiple dimensions It should promote better cooperation between Standard organization and Forums Resolution None [WZQ] Geneva, 13-16 July 2009 Fostering worldwide interoperability 14 NGN Interoperability (TTC) Presentations GSC14-PLEN-12 + 12a1, 54, 62, 74 Summary TIA presented their activities on interoperability including relationship with SDO’s such as ATIS and ETSI. Participants were reminded that in becoming qualified under the procedures of Rec. ITU-T A.5 for referencing within ITU-T Recommendations, PSOs agreed to provide a reference copy to ITU-T and that the PSO follows a document management regime that keeps older and obsolete versions of standards available. Offline discussions were encouraged among the PSO and ITU representatives to ease the situation Geneva, 13-16 July 2009 Fostering worldwide interoperability 20 Summary Substantial increase in activity and interest was noticed for ICT and climate change The approach of PPSO leading the HIS discussions has shown to be very effective Most High Interest Subject areas have seen progress since GSC13 Participants were commended for their commitment to work on global standards The Chair thanked all for their participation and spirit of cooperation The final agenda for this meeting, including all associated documents, is contained in GSC14PLEN-01R4 Geneva, 13-16 July 2009 Fostering worldwide interoperability 21
