The features are: - OneDrive - 1 TB of file storage that can be synced across all your devices - Office Online - web-based version of Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote) - Office ProPlus (desktop and mobile app versions of Microsoft Office) - Office ProPlus is free for faculty, staff, and students. You can install it on up to 5 pcs or macs, 5 tablets, and 5 phones. IT News article published in KST on Wednesday. The expanded pilot of OneDrive and Office Pro Plus including the sysadmins, the O365 steering committee and ITS has gone well. The mobile and desktop clients for OneDrive and Office Pro Plus are working. Communications in K-State Today and social media are beginning this week. Thank you for your continued support. Our next committee meeting is scheduled for next Thursday, March 12. iSIS - iSIS (the student information system) is going to be rebranded. You can probably guess why. A public announcement is expected soon. - A new automated process to collect missing SSNs and ITINs was deployed last week. Domestic students who do not comply within two weeks of notification will automatically have an enrollment hold placed on their account. See this webpage for more information. - An RFP was issued in December for an enterprise mobile solution for K-State. The best and final negotiation is expected to be completed by the end of the week. - The third release of the KSU Advisor Center is on track for delivery in late spring. See the product roadmap for more information on the specific features in this release. 3:55pm – 4:45pm KSOL Canvas Classic to Canvas migration Rob Caffey Scantron and related discussion Scott Finkeldei - There are 4825 Spring 2015 courses at K-State and 951(20%) have been upgraded to Canvas. - We will provide support for the current process in KSOL "Classic" through Jan. 1, 2016, and introduce a new process and transition assistance throughout the Fall 2015 semester. - Multiple methods to obtain training are being offered to accommodate. - Feature enhancements Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) components - Spring ’15, Photo Roster - Spring ’15, Scantron v2 - Summer ’15, Dropped student report - Fall ’15, Grade submission - Fall ’15, ELP - Jan 2016, Scantron v3 - There are no controls to prevent Canvas being utilized for search committee work, promotion & tenure packet, etc. However, there is currently no support for using Canvas in this manner. Office 365 SharePoint may be a platform for this type of collaborative work space. 4:45pm – 5:00pm New Business - Adobe Effective February 27, 2015, Adobe Creative Cloud will be the exclusive source for all future Creative suite licensing. This means that Adobe Creative Suite 6 will be discontinued under current licensing programs. All other Adobe products available under volume licensing, like Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Captivate, will be unaffected by this change. Contact Kathy Leonard with InformationTechnology Services if you have questions. - Zoom We currently have close to 2,000 users who have not switched over to the new Single Sign-On for Zoom, we will be delaying the deletion of old Zoom Accounts who have not made the switch. Users will now have until May 18th to make the switch over to SSO.
