Short biography Dr. Petya Alexandrova Petya Alexandrova is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Leibniz University Hannover, Institute of Political Science. In September 2014, she defended her PhD at the University of Leiden with a dissertation entitled Agenda Setting in the European Council. Earlier, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Politics and History from Jacobs University Bremen and graduated cum laude from the collaborative Master’s programme on Contemporary European Studies after studying at the University of Bath, Charles University, Prague and Humboldt University Berlin. As a PhD candidate Petya received training from the Netherlands Institute of Government and participated at the Winter School in Social Science Research Methods at the University of Limerick. During the last four years she taught courses in public policy, EU policies and research methodology at Leiden University and contributed to the activities of the Montesquieu Institute in The Hague. Petya’s research has been published in European Journal of Political Research, European Union Politics, Journal of Common Market Studies, Policy Studies Journal and two articles are forthcoming in European Political Science Review and Journal of Public Policy.
