Ministry of Education Huayu Enrichment Scholarship is now Open for Applications until 26th March, 2015 The Huayu Enrichment Scholarship was established by the Ministry of Education in Taiwan to encourage international students to undertake Mandarin courses in Taiwan, providing successful applicants with opportunities to increase their understanding of Taiwanese culture and promoting mutual understanding and interactions between Taiwan and the international community. The Huayu Enrichment Scholarship programme enables UK nationals to study Chinese at recognised language centres in Taiwan for periods ranging from two months to one year. Recipients will receive a monthly stipend of NT$ 25,000 (approx. £500). Completed scholarship applications must be submitted electronically to the British Association for Chinese Studies (BACS). Please note that all applicants are responsible for applying to their chosen language centre independently prior to submitting an application for the scholarship.
