Independence at home Staying independent at home means staying safe. Whether it’s changing your home’s lighting, making some essential repairs and improvements or labelling items differently, these pages provide information on how you can adapt your home to continue safely enjoying essential everyday tasks. Making the most of your leisure time The opportunity to take up a new hobby or continue with an existing interest still exists if you are blind or partially sighted. Don’t give up trying something new because you think you won’t be able to manage with your sight loss, there is often support or services available to help you. These pages provide information on the different sorts of leisure activities out there for you to try and how to get started. We also have information on how you can continue to enjoy your favourite activities, including watching TV, films and listening to the radio, visiting galleries and museums and going on holiday.
