Area of Practice
Andrew is a member of Lane Powell’s Construction and Environmental Practice Group and
concentrates his practice on representing design professionals, public and private owners, contractors,
product manufacturers and insurers. He has handled complex construction and real estate matters
involving alleged design errors, cost overruns, lease disputes and insurance coverage disputes. In
addition, he has significant trial and arbitration experience in both construction and real estate matters.

Representative Matters and Clients
Successfully represented homeowner at trial and on appeal in a breach of fiduciary duty and construction defect case against the contractor and real estate agent. Jury awarded client over $500,000 in damages against real estate agent and court awarded client their attorney fees. The judgment was upheld on appeal.
Successfully obtained complete dismissal on summary judgment of multimillion dollar negligence and negligent misrepresentation claims against a design consultant by a subcontractor on a public works utility project
Defended municipality in a breach of contract lawsuit brought by general contractor based on alleged
differing site condition encountered.
Defended design professional in a lawsuit brought by the design-builder of a public works project for cost overrun associated with alleged errors in design
Successfully represented public entity in a lawsuit against design professional for breach of contract and negligence based on design professional’s defective design. The case settled and client recovered over $2 million.
