THE ART OF TOUCH 2 September, 2011 10.00am-3.30pm The Capital Centre Studio Millburn House University of Warwick Science Park Coventry CV4 7HS Drawing together leading practitioners from Alexander Technique and dance and movement practice, this open seminar will explore the role of touch facilitated movement in End of Life Care contexts. The seminar represents the culmination of a pilot research project into the role of touch in creative movement practice in End of Life Care. The research has been conducted by Lucinda Jarrett, artistic director of Rosetta Life, with the support of the School of Health and Social Studies at the University of Warwick and assisted by funding from the Cultural Olympiad and a small AHRC grant from the Wellcome Trust supported Clore Leadership fellowship. The research presentation will include film screenings and presentations from leading practitioners and thinkers alongside film screenings and workshops and discussions.
