ULAR CENTER CHNOLOGIST SYMPOSIUM OBJECTIVES • Identify one strategy to reduce Cardiac Cath Lab operational costs. • Identify two procedural differences between TAVR and Surgical Aortic Valve Replacement. • Describe at least two different waveforms and parameters on a hemodynamic tracing obtained during cardiac catheterization. • List two indications for use of Impella and IABP during procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab. • List three anticoagulants used in patients with atrial fibrillation who undergo invasive cardiovascular procedures. • Name two common therapies used for the treatment of heart failure. • Describe the rationale for utilizing mapping during ablations in the Electrophysiology Lab. • Correctly identify the anatomical heart structures as seen on the echocardiogram. • Name two new drug eluting balloons and indications for their use. • Define appropriate use criteria as it relates to the Cardiac Cath Lab. • Name and identify three potential Cardiac Cath Lab complications and how to prevent or treat them. • Describe one approach to shortening length of stay in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
