Dear Mr.Houlin Zhao,
Thank you for your kind invitation.
It will be a commemorative day for ITU-T to celebrate the CCITT/ITU-T’s
50th Anniversary. I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the 50th
anniversary of CCITT/ITU-T’s foundation on behalf of CCSA.
50 years ago, when CCITT was established, few people use telephone for
communication. No one at that time can imagine telephone have been allpervading in many countries today. Mobile communication, broadband Internet,
data communication and many other new technologies and services emerge like
bamboo shoots after a spring rain.
For 50 years, the world has witnessed the great change in ICT fields. No one
can be blind to ITU-T’s role in this progress. As the most authoritative body in the
world, ITU-T has played an irreplaceable role in the development of ICT industry.
Since its establishment, ITU-T has been devoted to the research and develpment
of standards in nearly all ICT fields. ITU-T’s standards were accepted by the
world and have substantially shaped the way that we live and do business.
I would like to take this opptunity to express my best wishes to ITU-T.
Sincerely wish ITU-T to make even greater achievements on the basis of what it
has achieved. CCSA would definitely continue to support ITU-T’s work to make
joint contributions to the development of the world ICT industry.
