Strategy
Transforming Vietnam into an advanced ICT country
• Some key objectives
– Human resource
• Internet user penetration: 50% in 2015, 70% in 2020
• In 2020: 1 million people working in ICT area
• 30% in 2015, 80% in 2020 graduate ICT students are capable to meet international
ICT workforce requirements
– Broadband infrastruture:
• 2015: Complete broadband connection to each commune in 2015, to each villeage in
2020;
• Internet connection to all schools in 2015;
• Mobile broadband coverage reach 85% and 95% population in 2015, 2020
respectively;
– Information universalization:
• 2015: 90% household having TV of wich 80% having digital TV signal
• 2020: almost household can watch digital TV
