Following extensive experience in leadership roles with cellular vendors, Chris
became a founding Partner of the Wireless Frontiers VC Fund before joining the
GSM Association. As an investment Partner he served on the Boards of start up
companies and was responsible for making investments in wireless technology
companies
Chris’s wireless experience includes serving as Vice President of Wireless
Services with Nokia Mobile Phones where he was responsible for beginning to
bring the mobile data vision to end users. While at Nokia, Chris held various
positions including Head of Strategy Development for the Nokia Group and Vice
President of Corporate Strategy for the Nokia Mobile Phones business group.
He began his Motorola tenure with the Cellular Systems in Europe, which ultimately
led to leadership positions for global GSM products and went on to become Vice
President and General Manager of European Solutions.
Mr. Jackson received his M.B.A. from Bradford University and his B.S. in Electrical
Engineering from Manchester University.
