Infant Sibling Study Research Assistant ASAP 2014-2015 - Unpaid The UC Davis MIND Institute is a collaborative international research center committed to the awareness, understanding, prevention, care and cure of neurodevelopment disorders. The goal of the Infant Sibling Study is to understand the very earliest manifestations of autism and ADHD in infancy, using prospective methods to track the onset of symptoms and better understand underlying mechanisms that might put infants at risk of developing autism or ADHD. We are looking for interns who are • • • • • detail-oriented motivated kind humble and most importantly, ready to learn! You do not have to be a student to apply. This position is unpaid, however it comes with many intrinsic benefits. We typically ask for a 1year commitment and have two shifts: 6 hours/week and 9 hours/week. Infant Sibling Study volunteer responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following duties: • Run camera sessions for subject visits. o Behavioral assessment preparation and videotaping assessments of infants and school-age children • General data entry and filing • Behavioral Coding • Scoring of developmental assessments * As a probationary volunteer you must adhere to all stipulations of the probationary volunteer process. * If you are selected, you will be required to provide proof of MMR and chicken pox immunizations and a TB test done within the past year.
