RESOLUTION TO WITHDRAW APPLICATION TO THE NEW JERSEY BOARD OF MEDICAL EXAMINERS WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees previously enacted Resolution 2010-13 approving the submission of an application to the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners to establish the NJIT School of Medicine, Inc. and for NJIT to offer the joint MD degree with St. George’s University; WHEREAS, after careful analysis and due consideration of the competing priorities currently facing the university, consistent with the university’s mission, the Board has determined that it should withdraw such application; and WHEREAS, St. George’s University is supportive of said action; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that for the above stated reasons the Board of Trustees has determined that it is appropriate to withdraw the application to establish the NJIT School of Medicine, Inc. offering a joint MD degree with St. George’s University; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the NJIT administration is directed to take all necessary and appropriate steps to withdraw the pending application. __________________________________ Holly C.
