the R ules of t he Game
T h e a i m of t he g a m e
“Growing up emotionally”, the game we are presenting here,
is a different kind of game. You don’t play to win, but you win
when you play!
The aim of the game is to give an opportunity to adults and
children to stop for a while, listen to each other and talk about
the beautiful and complex world of emotions.
In everyday life, we leave little space for emotions. We don’t
really talk a lot about “how we are”, and “how we feel”. In spite
of the little awareness we have of our emotions, emotions are
always present, they have an important role in our lives, and they
affect our thoughts and actions.
Camy, the small chameleon, is the protagonist of our story and
our game, and he is going to accompany you in the discovery of
his emotions and in the instinctive way he reacts to new experiences. He will recount how his journey was an outer journey, to
the outside world, but more importantly it was an inner journey,
to his internal world, a world so important, rich and surprising.
Above all, Camy helps us understand that recognizing and understanding our emotions is not only a way of getting to know
ourselves and others better, but it is also a way of growing. That
is why we have created this game, and that is why all those who
play it win!
Have fun!

Before starting the game, it is important to read the story which
sets the tone of the game. Reading the story is an important
introduction and helps you to understand the aim of the game.
Open the board and place the game cards on the squares with
the same colour. Every player chooses a counter and places it
near the ‘Start’.
Each player takes a turn to throw the die and the player who
gets the highest number, starts playing. S/he throws the die and
moves the counter according to the number of spaces indicated
on the die. Depending on the colour the player lands on, he or
she can either pick a card or follow an instruction.
