WHEREAS, the United States Congress has enacted the proposed Deficit Reduction Act of 1984, House Resolution 4170, certain provisions of which will amend the Code, $103A, to cause it to be applicable to bonds issued
WHEREAS, the Code, §103~(g),imposes a ceiling on the aggregate amount of such housing bonds that -may
amount of such state ceiling for each year based on such evidence as they may determine and that, in the event
that the governor and the Texas Housing Agency act on different dates in making such determination, the latter

Section I . That, for the purposes set forth previously, the state ceiling for the State of Texas for calendar year
1984 is hereby determined to be $1.014 billion.
Section 2.
That the foregoing determination shall be effective as of July 18, 1984, to the extent of $796 million,
and shall be effective to the extent of $1.014 billion on the date that the Texas Housing Agency adjusts its determination of the state ceiling to a like amount.
