Activities suitable for children aged 3 to 12 years old
Kids on Campus offers a pleasurable
way to improve educational, athletic,
artistic and intellectual skills.
The children will have the opportunity
to build self-esteem and develop social
skills through making new friends.
Various activities are planned to ensure
that your child will have a
fun-packed summer!
This
program
is designed
by physical
Education
professionals
who focus on
teaching children to maintain good
health, while participating in active
games. The program promotes a
non-competitive environment with activities
that encourage co-operative play, teamwork and
good sportsmanship while further developing
their gross motor skills.
Supervised art projects
are a great way to allow your child
to express themselves in a safe manner.
The activities will provide a
wealth of enriching, hands-on
experiences for all children as
they create with glue, colourful
paint and paper.
Under Fives enjoy fun activities in our purposely designed Outdoor Water
area. Over Fives will attend age appropriate swimming lessons from
certified swimming instructors at the National Swimming Pool.
Our Dance programme aims to
enhance the children’s motor
skills, balance, co-ordination
and sense of rhythm. Through
these sessions children will
also learn discipline and
concentration while improving
their skills for dancing through
sequential movements.
Learning can become significantly
richer as children have access to new and
different types of information. Under the
expertise of our I.T. teacher, children over 5 years old
will be exposed to the world of IT by using age-appropriate software.
IT sessions will take place at the University’s fully-equipped IT Labs.
Children under 5 will have lessons in their classroom.

PSD is a fundamental aspect of the education of the whole child.
Through these sessions, children over 5 years old will increase
their knowledge and understanding about themselves, others, their
immediate environment and the world in which they live.
Creative Drama is the primary way through which children learn about their
world. By singing, the children will learn basic singing skills, thus enabling
them to enjoy and feel comfortable singing with others. Different ways as to
how children can think creatively and co-operate together will also be explored.
Excursions to places of
interest will be organised
for children over 5 years
old, at an additional cost
throughout the eight week
programme. Further details
will be given accordingly.
In our cooking room the children over 5
years old will be busy preparing recipes
carefully selected by our homeeconomics teacher. Besides the practical
aspect, the programme will also expose
children to important issues like healthy
eating, hygiene and kitchen safety.
Various faculties and
departments have again
joined forces with us to
provide children with
exciting hands on
experiences related to
their area of expertise. Mini labs,
sessions and seminars are planned
on campus for children over 5.
The children will
watch a selection of
films in one of our
air-conditioned
theatres.
For added safety, nurses will be on-site and
will also oversee off-site activities for the
whole period of KIDS ON CAMPUS.
Please note that construction works may be
carried out on campus this year. Parents
with children extremely susceptible to dust
are asked to take the necessary precautions.
