Russell Farrugia Research Support Officer I Mr Russell Farrugia received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2012 with First Class Honours. He successfully completed an M.Sc. by research in Mechanical Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Tonio Sant and Dr Daniel Micallef in 2014. In the past he has been employed as a student engineer with Methode Electronics and in 2012 was chosen for a summer studentship at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research. Currently he is employed with the University of Malta as a Research Support Officer on the LAB4MEMS project launched by the ENAIC Joint Undertaking. His work involves the finite element modelling of novel piezoelectric MEMS devices for mobile antenna applications. His research interests include computational fluid dynamics, finite element analysis and renewable energy. Publications: 1.
