MPC employs mixed methods to uncover, explain and propose solutions to important 21st century metropolitan and urban challenges including affordable housing, equitable economic development, and regional governance. ANNUAL SPRING LECTURE The Spring 2015 lecture will be given by Harvard University Professor William Julius Wilson, who has transformed the way we think about metropolitan and urban dynamics and policy. GRANT COMPETITION The MPC will be putting out a call for grant applications at the end of the Fall Semester. MPC will seed three AU interdisciplinary research proposals, up to $10,000 each, that investigate metropolitan and urban topics. CAPITAL DILEMMA The MPC has a book contract with Routledge to publish an interdisciplinary anthology of essays written by top scholars about urban and metropolitan issues in the DC metro area.
