Smith School of Business, University of Maryland—College Park. I teach both semesters of business law (undergraduate) and a graduate business law course for the masters program. I have also taught introduction to business and management to undergraduates. HISTORY AND PUBLIC POLICY CONSULTING EXPERIENCE I have been a shareholder in Business History Group since 2001, and a research associate since 1992. In this capacity I researched and conducted lengthy oral interviews during two large oral history projects for Washington laws firms—
Arnold & Porter and Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering. Additionally, for the period 1996-­‐
2002, I was an expert witness for the United States Department of Justice, Environmental and Natural Resources Division in numerous Superfund lawsuits involving business-­‐government relations and industry waste disposal practices in the metal, munitions and chemical industries. I did a variety of other history projects for pharmaceutical and consumer products firms. LEGAL EXPERIENCE Between 1974-­‐1986, I was an attorney with the Interstate Commerce Commission (now, Surface Transportation Board), including a period on the personal staff of Chairman Reece H. Taylor, Jr. (1982-­‐1986). RESEARCH INTERESTS These include twentieth century American and world business history and the history of business-­‐government relations, as well as regulatory issues and the role of Washington law firms in development of the 20th century regulatory state.
