GP-343,PI560335)is a durumwheat KS91WGRC14 (Triticum turgidum L. var. durum Desf.) germplasm line homozygousfor T1BL'1RS wheat-rye (Secalecereale L-) chromosometranslocation, developed cooperatively by the KansasAgricultural Experiment Station, the Wheat Genetics ResourceCenter, KansasState University, USDA-ARS, and the Technical University of Munich. It was releasedby the KansasAgricultural Experiment Station and the Wheat Genetics ResourceCenter, KansasState University, as a germplasm in February1992. KS91WGRC14 is a BC'Fr-derived line from the cross 'Cando'"21'Yeery'.Candois a durumwheatcultivar, andVeery is a breadwheatcultivar carryinga TIBL'1RS wheat-ryechromosome translocation.KS91WGRC14 is the bulked, selfed progenyof a BC,F plant that had ?t:28 chromosomesand was tromozygousfor TLBL'1RS, basedon C-bandinganalysis ( 1 ). KS91WGRC14is resistantto culturesof the stem rust fun- trophoreticbandscodedby the secalinlocuson 1RS (2)Small quantities(3 g) of seedof KS91WGRC14are available upon written request. It is requestedthat appropriaterecognition of sourcebe given when this germplasmcontributes to researchor developmentof new cultivars.
