Many people recognize Kids Day by the special “Kids Day” versions of the Fresno Bee. In honor of Kids Day, Fresno State’s Associated Students Inc. (ASI) will be hosting a story time. “The ASI Activities Committee recognized that Kids Day is a way to do more than raise money, but it also provides the opportunity to celebrate children,” said Lindsey Fidler, ASI Senator of Kremen School of Education. From 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, ASI senators and executive members will be reading children’s stories to preschool children in the Joyce M. Huggins Early Education Center in the Kremen Building on Fresno State campus. “This event is so important because it will give the ASI members the opportunity to touch the lives of the youngest people on campus that are so often forgotten, and the children will have the opportunity to touch our lives as well,” Fidler said. “There is something very rewarding about looking into the eyes of a child, and hopefully this event will help everyone realize how much ASI cares.” ASI members, including Fidler and ASI president Arthur Montejano, will be able to read one of their favorite children’s stories to the class. ### ASI is a body of elected student representatives that encourages student involvement in campus-wide decisions and funds student programs. As the student government we ensure that students’ rights are protected and their voices are heard.
