Restocks towels, soap, and other restroom supplies. ______ ______ Dusts and cleans walls, doors, windows, woodwork and other above-floor surfaces. ______ ______ Cleans elevators, elevator door tracks, and stairwells. ______ ______ Monitors and maintains exterior of buildings. ______ ______ Notifies Building Supervisor of equipment and facilities needing repair or replacement. ______ ______ Replaces accessible light bulbs. ______ ______ Strips and refinishes floors. ______ ______ Dusts and cleans walls. ______ ______ Washes waste receptacles. ______ ______ Moves furniture. ______ ______ Cleans stoves and other appliances. ______ ______ Prepares rooms and apartments, including making beds and putting out linens for conferences and special events. EMERGENCY REPSONSE/RECOVERY: Essential: No Custodian II (Union Only) - Job Code: 143311 Page 2 Yes In the event of an emergency, the employee holding this position is required to “report to duty” in accordance with the university’s Emergency Operations Plan and/or the employee’s department’s emergency response and/or recovery plans. Familiarity with those plans and regular training to implement those plans is required. During or immediately following an emergency, the employee will be notified to assist in the emergency response efforts, and mobilize other staff members if needed. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Education: Less Than High School Minimum Experience: 1 Year Minimum Field of Expertise: Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment. Ability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength. Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions. Ability to establish and maintain working relations with supervisors, co-workers, and students. Ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment.
