The Education Fair „Welcome to German!“ is organised by
representative institutions related to the German and Austrian
Maltese context in Malta. The fair aims to create awareness of the
presence of the German/Austrian culture and economy in Malta.
At the various STANDS of German-Maltese and AustrianMaltese companies, of Institutions working in the fields of
German language and culture and of other institutions, visitors
can obtain information about Germany and Austria and about
the German and Austrian involvement in the Maltese cultural,
educational and economic sectors.
The friendly and informal character of the event will provide
an enjoyable atmosphere for all who are interested in German,
in Germany and in Austria.
One of the highlights will be a MUSIC WORKSHOP which will
be conducted by young German musicians who have been invited
specially for the occasion. Together with up to 200 students they
will work out a music presentation linked to the German language
accompanied by rhythm instruments and percussions. Chaos
and fun are necessary elements of the process of creativity. You
aren’t a musician yet? Then you will become one!
An exciting alternative will be a TREASURE HUNT linked
to German and Germany/Austria. Experience interesting
facts about German and Austrian football, cars, music, food,
literature, geography and much more! PRIZES are waiting for
the participants of the activities!
A HANDS-ON ICT area will enable visitors to learn more
about the German language and culture.
On Saturday, University and Junior College students,
graduates, parents of students and everyone who is interested
in German(y) and Austria are welcome to come and get informed
about the German involvement in Malta, German scholarships
and internship possibilities and job career opportunities.
Furthermore, there will be a DISCUSSION ROUND with the
participation of experienced personalities about the role of
German in today’s world.
CERTIFICATES will be awarded to those who successfully sat
for the world-renowned Goethe Institute examinations.
During the entire event, several German and Austrian
companies operating in Malta, educational associations and
other institutions will be presenting their activities and offers.
