This application process is only for the graduate program. If you need to take the prerequisite courses for
the program, please contact the Graduate Coordinator at sskelton@csufresno.edu.
Completed application requires the following be sent to the department by the department deadline in a
single packet:

A typed letter of intent must accompany your application for Graduate Study. Your letter
of intent to the Graduate Committee should include:
a.
Explanation of your interest in your chosen discipline
b.
Previous experience, paid or volunteer, in your discipline or related fields
(emphasis should be placed on human service(s) and/or educational experience)
c.
Reasons for pursuing graduate studies
d.
Future goals: Whether your orientation is clinical, administrative, or if you have
research and/or doctoral program goals
e.
Goals specific to ethnically diverse (e.g., multilingual/multicultural) or special
needs populations.
Departmental Application
Three letters of recommendation (if possible, these should be from persons within the communicative
disorders professions) using the departmental recommendation form and sealed by the author in an envelope
with his or her signature across the sealed envelope flap.
THE DEADLINES FOR SUBMITTING THE DEPARTMENTAL APPLICATION ARE THE SAME AS THE
DEADLINES FOR THE UNIVERSITY.
Please note that the processing of transcripts and GRE scores by the university can take over a month.
These documents are only provided to the department online and must be available to the department
for review by the deadline stated above.
