Summer Session FAQs
Who can register for Summer Session classes?
Matriculated Fresno State students. Students who have been disqualified from Fresno State. Students who are 18 years of age or
older and who have met the class prerequisites. Students who have never taken a Fresno State class previously.
When will the schedule be out?
On March 21, the schedule will be posted on our website: http://www.fresnostate.edu/cge/summersession. Please visit our
website (listed above) for updates.
When can I register?
You may register for courses up to the first class meeting date. Register online at http://www.fresnostate.edu/cge/summersession or in person at Continuing and Global Education, Kremen Education Building, Room 130. We’re open from 8:00 am to
5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Summer office hours (May 23-August 12) are Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Will a Summer Session class count toward my degree?
Summer Session classes fulfill the residence credit requirements and are generally applicable toward a Fresno State degree.
Ask your advisor if the class will meet your specific degree requirements.
How much are the fees and when are they due?
Fees vary depending on the number of units being taken and are due May 20. Immediate pay registration begins May 21
through the first day of class and fees are due within 24 hours. Payment of fees holds your place in class. The fee schedule is
available at: http://www.fresnostate.edu/cge/summersession. Fee schedules are subject to change.
Is Financial Aid available during Summer Session?
Financial aid may be available for matriculated students enrolled in a minimum of 6 units during the summer (May/June
Intersession & Summer Session combined). Summer Interest Forms will be available in the Financial Aid Office beginning
April 4 and must be submitted by May 6. Questions? Please check with the Financial Aid Office.
What is the chance of my course being cancelled?
If a class has insufficient enrollment, it will be cancelled. On June 4, the list of cancelled classes will be posted on the
Continuing and Global Education website: http://www.fresnostate.edu/cge/summersession. If your class is cancelled, you may
enroll in a different Summer Session class, or you will receive an automatic refund.
When will my grade be posted?
Grades can be accessed at https://my.csufresno.edu approximately two weeks after your class ends.
What student services will be in operation during Summer Session?
The Kennel Bookstore, Madden Library, Health and Psychological Services and some Food Court restaurants will be open,
but perhaps with reduced hours. Parking permits are required. Contact the Parking Office at 559.278.2950 or
