Dr Azzopardi is a Lecturer within the Department of Youth and Community Studies (Faculty of Education) at the University of Malta. His lecturing focuses on youth and community studies, sociology, critical pedagogy, disability politics, inclusive and multi-cultural education, community management, emancipatory research and narrative enquiry. Dr. Azzopardi is highly involved in the Masters in Youth and Community Studies and currently coordinates the research component of the course. Dr Marilyn Clark (Social Psychologist), Mr Albert Bell (Sociologist) and Ms Miriam Teuma (Youth Worker), members of the said Department will be contributing to this short course as well. DATES AND TIMES I wish to register for the course ‘Understanding Young People in Today’s Society’. The course will be spread over 7 weeks, from Friday 5 December 2008 to Friday 30 January 2009. There will be a four-hour session every Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. WHO COULD BENEFIT FROM THE COURSE I enclose the sum of €85 as participation fee I will pay the participation fee of €85 by 1st December 2008 EDUCATIONAL REQUIRMENTS (cheques are to be made payable to the University of Malta) Signature The course should be of interest to teachers, youth leaders, youth workers, community workers, LSAs, youth activists, parents, young people themselves and professionals involved in the field of youth, policy, care/support workers, members of NGOs, social workers and the general public. Date An ‘O’ Level pass in English language is normally required for an applicant to be admitted to this course.
