Part 2: Comments regarding candidate’s performance
PAPER 1
Section A: Information Systems
QA1: This compulsory question was about data, data capture, validation, loss, recovery and data security.
QA2: This question was about computer networks in organizations. Students were expected to identify two types of networks and explain things like how to connect etc. The structure of the internet was also expected to be explained
QA3: This question was about HCI. Students were expected to understand the basic issues of HCI and also GUIs
QA4: This question was about information system life cycles.
Section B: Human Communication & Business Organization
QB1: This was a compulsory general question on authority, delegation, responsibility. The differentiation of a Public corporation and a co-operative society had to be explained.
QB2: This question was about how information is disseminated within organizations. Students were expected to explain things like Grapevine gossip and communication channels.
QB3: This question was about the need to spread information to the outside world and five different ways how to do this.
QB4: This question was about upward and downward communication. Five different methods how to do this were required to be explained.

QA2: This question was about internet related software, ISPs and their issues.
QA3: This question was about Database Systems and their issues.

Section B: Programming Techniques and System Development
QB1: This compulsory question was about System Design, ERD, Structured Techniques and Testing strategies.
QB2: This question was about Problem solving techniques, file organization structures and practical problem solving related to programming.
QB3: This question was about software system maintenance and software evaluation.
QB4: This question was about structured programming techniques.
