The Palo Alto stayed on the dock in Oakland for ~10yrs until she was purchased by the Seacliff Amusement Co of Nevada in 1929. Then she was brought to Seacliff State Beach as an amusement craft in 1930; an arcade, dance hall, dining room and swimming pool were built. Front half of ship closes in 1958, ship closes after storms of 1978, damages again in 1982 and 1983. 10
