Office of the Vice President of Student Services Student Services Learning Outcomes Assessment Critically analyze and identify options that maximize accurate course placement based upon assessment score, prior knowledge, skill and experience. Counseling Create a plan to facilitate educational and career goals. Counseling & Educational Support Services (AUO) Assessment, Orientation, and Counseling will utilize information from the Division Office/ Office of Matriculation to improve services to help students meet their educational goals. Cabrillo Advancement Program (CAP) 1. Students will utilize CAP services to graduate from high school and/or enroll in college. 2. CAP students who attend Cabrillo will participate in all registration, assessment and enrollment activities, and if appropriate, utilize referrals from the CAP Coordinator for student support services. Disabled Students Programs & Services Students will demonstrate knowledge of campus resources supporting academic success. Enrollment Services: Admissions & Records Students will utilize services provided by WebAdvisor to enroll in courses and track academic progress. Financial Aid Students who apply for financial aid will be able to complete the application process and meet deadlines. Extended Opportunities, Programs and Services (EOPS) 1. Students will articulate, identify, and clarify career, vocational and transfer goals on their educational plan. 2. Semester Orientation -- Students will take responsibility for college success by becoming familiar with resources on campus and in the program 3. Students will communicate directly, in person, with instructors and be able to participate in their own academic program evaluation process. 4. Ongoing Counseling -- After a year in EOPS, students will persist to a 3rd semester as full time students. Fast Track to Work Students will develop an educational plan for a chosen career path. Office of Matriculation Students will understand how to present a requisite challenge through the Office of Matriculation. Outreach 1. Students participating in outreach events will be able to list at least three steps to enroll at Cabrillo College. 2. Students participating in campus tours will be able to list three student support services. Learning Skills Students who commit to the learning disabilities evaluation process will analyze their learning challenges and create a plan of study strategies they can use to improve their learning. Student Affairs 1. Students will access the Welcome Center for information, referrals, and services. 2. Students will complete all requirements for club charters and participate in Inter‐Club Council (ICC). 3. Students will conduct the business of the Student Senate demonstrating proper and ethical leadership practices. 4. Identified students will complete the process of meeting with the Dean of Student Services in response to reported violations of the student code of conduct. These students will be informed of their rights and responsibilities. Student Employment Students will be able to locate and appropriately apply for job openings. Student Health Services 1. Students will be able to identify the location of SHS. 2. Students attending the Fall Wellness Fair will demonstrate knowledge about self-care and health resources available to them on campus and in the community. Vice President, Student Services (AUO) Provide comprehensive leadership and fiscal oversight for the component of Student Services in order to ensure a diverse learning environment and the financial, academic, cocurricular, and personal support students need to achieve their educational and personal goals.
