Administrative Unit Outcome, Unit Description, and List of Key Responsibilities (5-10): Administrative Unit Outcome: • • • • • • • • Minimize numbers of classroom absences through providing on campus physical and mental health services Improve retention by supporting early identification and providing early intervention for physical and mental health issues Provide support for students in crisis Link students to community resources Teach skills for optimal wellness and lifelong health maintenance Provide health outreach and health promotional programs and activities Support the health and wellness of the campus community Act as public health resource for campus community Unit Description: Student Health Services assists students in achieving their academic and personal goals by supporting optimal physical, emotional, and psychological wellness. The program is primarily funded by the health fee, currently $19/semester, and is a mandated service (Education Code Section 76355). Key Responsibilities 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11.
