What is the need?

We need more money for our community – money is being
taken from our community to support war

Our community needs more money to deal with violence
 Money is being cut from school budgets
 Citizens are struggling to make a living

Citizen’s of Watsonville are affected by violence

Citizen’s do not have a way to affect the government

Solution 1 – Education in our
community



Education for teens for example, for girls have
more places like Defensa De Mujeres.
Education for teen age boys about how to have
good communication with their partner, that
could prevent more violence in the future
Have workshops for couples so they could work
out their problems in the family.

or issues behind it.

More education about why we need to enforce
the laws in our community. (Because 45%of the
community have been involved a violent
situation.)

More education in elementary and middle
schools about the connection between war and
violence.

Having guest speakers in elementary,
middle and high schools around the
community will open eyes of young kids.

Violence between neighborhoods could be
less if we had more cops patrolling in the
affected arias.


Organize national protests, in Washington D.C.,
the Pentagon in Virginia and New York City.

it be known that Latinos, whites, blacks and other
people have a different opinion.

By making different workshops for different people we will be able
to help the violence rate go down.

For people who have been involved in gangs we should have
special workshops were they help them to get out of gangs, were
they provide support, education and help for there family

Education in our community, should have more programs for teens,
more clear education for elementary children and more help for
families that have problems or just want to make a better
relationship between the family.
