Correction, after verification with the GE department the requirement is two semesters of Algebra with

430 on SAT, 19 on ACT…let me know if there are questions!
Yes, that’s correct. So it they are transferring and have not taken a Math course, we would not
require them to do so.

Notre Dame de Namur University
According to the Notre Dame de Namur University catalog, it states applicants need algebra and
geometry. For transfer students, although it is not stated in the catalog, they need intermediate
algebra.
Hope this helps.

Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science
We don't have a math admission requirement to the College of Science and Health (our only college with
undergraduate programs). Students complete math and reading/writing assessments when they are
admitted. A few of our students each year need to take developmental courses in math (e.g., Pre-Algebra)
and writing based on the results of their assessments.
Specific programs in our College have math prerequisites and not all students who apply to those programs
are admitted.

University of the Pacific
There is not a minimum math requirement for transfer at the University of the Pacific. It is best if
the student has at least intermediate algebra for the skill requirement for graduation. What math
they need over all will depend on the major.

Woodbury University
None for Woodbury University.
It is recommended that a student enter with 3 years of high school math. SAT I or ACT test
scores are required of students with less than 30 transferable units. There is a time limit on the
applicability of prior math courses (1 year for elementary algebra, 2 years for intermediate).
Students are required to complete placement testing prior to registration.

University of La Verne
The University of La Verne is quite complex due to the various student populations that we serve.
However, if I understand your question correctly I would have to say that our university does not
have a minimum math requirement for students who are planning to attend our institution.
If the student has less than 32 units prior to admission then they will would be matriculated as an
incoming freshmen (needing docs such as H.S. transcripts, SAT 1 or ACT scores, and letters of
recommendations).
If any further information is needed, please let me know.

University of Southern California (USC)
Q: Does USC have a math requirement?
A: Colleges throughout California expect students
to have mastered the equivalent of intermediate
college algebra with at least a “C” grade. USC
is no exception. Students who did not complete
advanced algebra in high school should plan to
take intermediate algebra or higher at the college
level. Many USC degree programs have more
demanding math requirements; refer to the
USC Catalogue for more information.
