Cabrillo College Dental Hygiene Post Graduate Studies presents
With All Due Respect: Employment, Legal/Benefit &
Generational Considerations in Today’s Workplace
Workplace considerations in today’s world involve new and changing laws in addition to personal situations with
employers, employees and co-workers that can become complicated. Dentistry, and particularly in the field of dental
hygiene, individuals of multiple generations (e.g. Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Millennials and the Gen-Xers) are all
working side by side in both private practices and non-traditional settings as is seen in many other industries and
disciplines. Each generation brings it’s own unique perspective, and it is important to understand both the similarities
and differences. In addition, employer granted benefits and State/Federal laws can have an effect on both the legal
and collegial environment in the workplace and can be both confusing and contentious. Learn what your legal
obligations and benefits are whether you are the employer or employee, in addition to gaining resources to improve
workplace situations you may be experiencing now or may encounter in the future. This three (3) hour course is
applicable to the 20% maximum limit of a licensee’s total required course unit credits for each license or permit
