Administrative Unit Outcomes for Instruction
1. CEED
a. Community Services
Employers, community members and organizations will utilize CEED’s revenue and
grant supported educational services and access college facilities to further their
organizational and personal goals.
b. CTE
The college, our K-12, higher education, and workforce development partners will utilize
CEED’s employer engagement, resource development, partnership facilitation, project
management and outcomes assessment services to improve education and career success
for all Santa Cruz County students.
c. Regional Partnerships
The 28 community colleges in the Bay Region, regional employers, and other workforce
development stakeholders will utilize CEED’s convening, facilitation, project
management, and data and information services to collaboratively meet industry’s
workforce needs and to provide students with career paths to family-supporting wages.
2. Distance Education:
a. Students will meet their educational goals by accessing technology-mediated instruction
in both on-campus and distance education courses.
b. Faculty will be provided with programs, services, mentoring and program support staff in
order to develop, design, evaluate and maintain new and existing quality distance
learning courses.
3. Division Offices
a. Students and faculty will be provided with information, problem solving tools, structure
and resources from the Division Offices in order to facilitate the instructional process and
improve student success
4. Education Centers
a. Students, community members and organizations will utilize the facilities and resources
at the Education Centers to further their educational/organizational goals.
b. Faculty will facilitate the instructional process and improve student success by using the
structure and resources provided at the Centers.
5. Honors/Articulation
a. Honors: Students will enhance their intellectual, cultural and economic vitality by
participating in the Honors Transfer Program
b. Articulation: Cabrillo instructional and counseling faculty will teach and recommend
articulated courses in order to assist students in their quest to complete degrees and
certificates, and to prepare for transfer to continue their education.
6. Library
Cabrillo library patrons will be able to successfully use the library's physical and electronic
services, information tools, and resources, to find and evaluate information, and accomplish
academic endeavors in the pursuit of formal and informal learning
7. Staff Development
Cabrillo faculty and staff will develop professionally through participation in learning activities
designed to help the improvement of workplace performance.
8. Tutorials Center
a. After tutoring Sessions, the student will demonstrate improved understanding of their
course subject matter.
b. After tutoring sessions, the student will be able to apply learned study habits to
independent work.
9. Vice President’s Office
Cabrillo faculty and staff will be provided with oversight, guidance and support by the Vice
President of Instruction’s Office in order to assist students in their quest to complete classes,
degrees, and certificates, and to prepare to transfer to continue their education.
