Disaster Preparedness - Key Personnel Roster
In the event of a crisis or disaster (tornado, flood, earthquake, fire, etc.) that may affect the health or welfare of research or
teaching animals, it is the responsibility of the animal care unit to be prepared to deal with likely emergencies. The
individuals listed below are identified as “Key Personnel” for the K-State animal care and use program, and should be
notified immediately in case of a crisis that involves animals on campus or in their specific area of responsibility. In the
event of a campus emergency, an initial “command center” will be established at the Comparative Medicine Group (CMG)
office, Room 103A Coles Hall (phone 532-5640). If Coles 103A is damaged or unavailable, the main lobby on the first
floor of Trotter Hall will be the alternate meeting site. Depending on an assessment the situation by key personnel, the
command center may be moved to a more appropriate site.
