The quality of students’ work and the participation of students were both very high. We covered all content of the course, and the lively participation of the students allowed deep analysis of issues involved in the study of ADR. Several practical exercises were organized, and students had chance to experiment an online negotiation exercise as well. Before each lecture I have uploaded handout of the lecture, and key reading on the Moodle (in order for the students to follow my lecture, to take notes and be ready for discussion. During the year students submitted two non-assessed essays, and they could choose between two different topics in ADR, or to write two initial sections of their final 10,000 words dissertation. Detailed feedback was provided for each student in writing, and during one-to-one meetings. In addition general feedback were given in class after I have marked the essays. Regarding the final dissertation, I have supported and supervised students in choosing the topic, carrying out research for the dissertation, and managing writing schedule. The course has offered students the opportunity to engage in extra-curricula activities including the UK Mediation Skills Competition, B Any Learning and Resources the City problems of Hong (e.g quality KongofUniversity lecture or tutorial ADRrooms) Competition. None C Issues Identified by Students (from questionnaires, staff-student committee etc.) and Action Taken or Planned Students were extremely satisfied by the course. A couple of students suggested to have more discussion of pre-assigned reading, and few more practical exercises. Both suggestions will be followed during the next academic year. In particular, we have added tutorials during which students will engage in practical exercises. Among other activities, students will be asked to work in group, carry out research and prepare presentation on the basis of pre-assigned reading. In addition during lectures I will show videos on negotiation, and mediation, and students will have to individuate issues and discuss. Flip lectures will be added. Regarding assessment, a couple of students suggested to a different method of assessment. However, the 10,000 word essay will remain because it offers students the possibility to improve research skills, and to gain some expertise on a specific topic.
