Class Name: Glass Garden Mosaic Stone

Hello Student,
For this class you will need to bring a clean 12" concrete stepping stone. It does not
matter which color concrete. You may choose square, round or octagon. I will bring lots of
glass, glue, design ideas and baubles for you to choose from. I will also bring an assortment of
glass cutting tools however if you have your own you may bring them and save yourself some
waiting time. I will bring strip cutters, pistol grip cutter, runners, groziers, two wheel cutters
and mosaic knippers. All of these will be demonstrated. Please make sure they have your name
or some other indicator on them as they will likely look just like mine. If you would prefer to
purchase your own tools ahead of time you may see me at Kiss My Glass to do so. You are also
welcome to bring glass or other baubles you would like to incorporate but you do not need to
do so. I prefer not to work with china or broken plates in this class as it is not flat enough for
stepping stones.
The first night will consist of designing, cutting and gluing your stone. This is likely to
take the whole class period.
The second night will consist of choosing and applying grout and cleaning up your stone.
This is not likely to take the whole class time allotted. I will send you home with sealer to apply
a few days later when your stone is thoroughly dry.
