EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Planning and Research Office (PRO) is releasing findings from the Cabrillo
College Student Survey conducted in fall 2005. This is one of the most
comprehensive surveys at the college aimed to receive routine feedback from
students on a variety of subject matters, using carefully designed and approved
questions and scales. The survey gauges students’ levels of agreement with key
institutional performance questions, to obtain ratings of satisfaction with and use of
college services, and to solicit comments on how the college can improve. To the
extent possible, the authors compared the findings from this survey to those from
2003 as well as 2001. In this sense, this is a longitudinal survey.
A total of 1,015 surveys were completed by students in 67 randomly selected
classrooms, representing 7.2% of the fall 2005 unduplicated student population of
14,098. In the tables that follow, changes considered statistically significant1 have
been highlighted using shaded cells.
The following highlights in this executive summary are for the purposes of drawing
the readers’ attention to important feedback that may have policy implications or
interest to key stake holders and accreditation self-study teams.
Overall, the respondents continued to be very positive toward Cabrillo College. They
gave high marks to the college environment, curriculum, and support services. Two
hundred and eleven (211) students wrote open-ended comments about their classes
at Cabrillo; 273 wrote comments about services provided at Cabrillo; 101 students
listed additional student services that they would like to see provided at Cabrillo; and
266 students listed classes that they’d like to see offered. All in all, roughly a quarter
of the respondents provided written comments for classes, services and future
offerings.
The following five (5) services out of 25 have been rated the highest2:
1. Library (4.09)
2. Math Learning Center (MLC) (4.01)
3. Disabled Student Services (3.96)
4. Learning Resources Center (3.88) tie
To the extent possible, responses to all survey questions were subjected to statistical
significance testing. For any given question, a z-test for proportions with standard level of
significance of .05 was employed to discern whether or not students’ answers to the 2005
survey differed significantly from the answers given to the same question in the 2003 and
2001 survey. The analysis (text portion of this report) focuses on those findings that are
significant. The following are the highlights from the responses to the questions in the survey.
1
2
The highest possible rating was 5.0.
5. Open Access Computer Lab (3.88) tie
The following five (5) services out of 25 have been rated the lowest:
1. Parking (2.30)
2. Student Government (2.97)
3. Police Protection (3.37)
4. College Bank (3.40)
5. Admissions & Records (3.54)
The following services showed significant improvement from 2003:
1. Registration (2005: 3.61 vs. 2003: 3.48)
2. Bookstore (2005: 3.54 vs. 2003: 3.28)
3. Admissions & Records (2005: 3.54 vs. 2003: 3.39)
It appears that students are using more diverse sources for information, rather than
using 1 or 2 single sources. The following four (4) sources are most popular among
students for their source of information about Cabrillo with “internet” making a great
jump:
• Internet (69.7%)
• Peers, friends and family (60.3%)
• College Catalog (59.0%)
• Cabrillo Counselors (58.8%)
• Course Schedule (50.3%)
What’s worth noting is that back in 2003, the following were most popular:
• College Catalog (81.8%)
• Course Schedule (65.6%)
• Students, friends, and family (61.0%)
• Internet (60.2%).
The traditional class taking mode (the choice of In Person on the survey) dropped
from 88.3% in 2003 to 83.6% in 2005. More prefer to take classes at Watsonville
(from 14.1% in 2003 to 20.0% in 2005). Please note the respondents could mark all
that apply to answer questions of class taking mode (Question 7) and locations to
take classes (Question 8); therefore, an increase in one choice is not implying a
reduction of others.
RESPONDENTS’ DEMOGRAPHICS
Among the 2005 survey respondents, 43.6% were male and 56.4% were female,
which was similar to the college overall distribution of gender in fall 2005: 41.0%
male and 58.8% female. Other demographic statistics of the respondents also were
similar to those of the college’s. For example, 26.8% of the respondents were
Hispanic, 60.5% were White while 25.8% of all students were Hispanic and 61.7%
were White in fall 2005 (Fall 2005 Governing Board Census Report). Age is not
studied here due to the use of age ranges on the survey while the student body
statistic is computed using real age.
SURVEY METHODOLOGY AND LOGISTICS
PRO continued with the in-classroom survey approach by randomly selecting classes
from morning, afternoon, and evening offerings and balanced the count with classes
offered at the main campus, Watsonville Center, and Santa Cruz. The actual
locations at which the survey took place are as follows:
Main Campus
Branciforte Jr. High School
Watsonville Center
In fall 2005, 74.9% of the surveys were administered on Aptos campus; 21.7% in
Watsonville, and the rest 3.4% in Santa Cruz locations. The majority of the classes
surveyed (62.3%) were day classes.
This survey was designed using Bubble Publishing Form Shop and completed surveys
were scanned using Bubble Publishing Scan Shop and Scantron 2500. Analyses were
conducting using SPSS 11 and mrTables 3.1.
The survey results, z-test scores, written comments and the original survey
instrument are attached to this report. They are not necessarily arranged in the
order in which the questions were asked. For Questions 1 and 2, additional tables of
the Mean have been provided. Not all tables have charts.
It should be noted that this version of the release of the survey report contains no
written analysis of the results. To do so would require an enormous amount of time
and may not be of use to the Accreditation Self-study teams since they are looking
for actual data tables and charts. Further, no cross-tabulation has been done, since
the desired cross-tabulations should be coming from the readers/users of the survey
data.
For further analysis and questions, please feel free to contact Jing Luan,
831.477.5656 (jiluan@cabrillo.edu).
A survey of this magnitude cannot be successful without the generous support
from various sectors of the college and the tremendous amount of time and
expertise from those who are involved in administering, analyzing and producing
the report. The authors wish to thank all the faculty members who donated
precious class time for the surveys, all the survey administrators, the college
President Dr. Brian King, Vice President Dr. Renee Kilmer, the Computing
Resources department, and Doug Deaver for his help in securing software and
printing equipment.
HOW TO READ THE CHARTS AND TABLES
For the first time, the fall 2005 survey used mrTables to analyze the answers to the
questions. mrTables is one of the most powerful tools to analyze survey data. Please
note, for this report, no questions have been crosstabulated.
The following graph with numbered callout boxes are useful to help you with reading
the tables provided by mrTables with testing of significance.

Classes in general, excepting Organic Chem, tend to treat subject matter in a way that only prepares students for tests. Much more effort
must be put into getting people to think. Equations and writing a well-organized essay don't help people become independent thinkers,
understanding people not other cultures.
Need more general Allied Health classes. Jason Camara and MA160 teacher were excellent & accurate graders. One instructor does
not grade fairly. Parking is a nightmare.
Enjoyable.
Good.
Grading! A number of teachers in the Math & Physical Science departments are somewhat brutal in their grading, between making
difficult tests and taking off large numbers of points. There are still a good number of fair graders, but some classes take way over the
amount of time that the class unit count would call for. Labs: Chemistry labs, at least for 1B & 12AL, give 6 hrs. in class for 2 units,
which would be fine if homework were not involved, then require another 6 hrs. (give or take) of time in homework.
Cabrillo has given me the opportunity to develop a strong foundation with depth and breadth. Though the flexibility is in general quite
excellent, I wish there were lab/science classes at nights & weekends! More online classes, too!
This school is very nice but could use some improvements to ensure its future. Larger computer labs, majority of the time Library
computers are readily used by people to chat or social network site while other students wait hours to get to look up Chem data.
Lab classes have helped toward my occupational goals more than my educational goals.
No open gym/weight room times - bad.
Diversity is unimportant to most sciences, or at least has a different meaning than is implied here. Jason would be an excellent instructor
because of his mastery of Chemistry, not the number of vowels in his name.
Cultural and ethnic cooling
I've enjoyed my time at Cabrillo very much. As a Biology major, I've been through Math, Chem, and Physics and have found outstanding
teachers who really care about their students' successes The facilities and tutors available are awesome!
My HS-15 Human Sexuality instructor has difficulty clearly explaining topics, which leads to mass confusion. She has also made remarks
based on her opinion that does not provide a safe space for open discussion.
Need more classes that are required, actually made available, e.g., German 3! It would be nice to be able to write in a Word document
while researching in the Library, or advertise the other computer lab by Twin Lakes Church more!
The Financial Aid office seemed virtually useless for students transferring from Cabrillo. They had no information to offer me about
scholarships, loans, or any other opportunities. The Transfer Center was much more helpful.
Not enough science classes. When signed up completely filled very quickly. Not that this survey really matters. Not enough science
instructors for example nighttime Chemistry, Physics.
I have only taken Art and Art History classes at Cabrillo and they are always excellent and above my expectations. I love lots of open lab
time! :-)
There seems to be no standardized expectations of a particular classes) and this might be a benefit. I find that because Cabrillo does not
audit classes, I have had to go elsewhere for personal interest courses.
Keep ART alive!! We need the new music studio building.
Too many students and not enough room in classes. As a result, classes fill too quickly - not enough room on wait lists.
Some teachers meet this criteria (highly skilled/well-prepared), others are far from it.
In some of my classes, I feel way too close to the person next to me. It should be two to a table but it's 3. Some people don't even get a
desk. All the seats have gum all over them or stains on the chairs. It's gross.
It's very difficult to make general statements about all courses and instructors. Some are very good, but I've had a few very bad
instructors…how do you answer for both?
Cabrillo College is an amazing place to go to school because not only do they offer a huge variety of classes but it gives off the feeling
that everyone wants to help everyone succeed. I am so thankful and proud to be a Cabrillo student!
My name was spelled wrong through admissions. :-(
The parking meters on the very top of the garage are stupid…we never have that many visitors at one time, so it just takes spaces away
from students. On days when I start class at 9:30, I have to get here at 8:30 so I can get the last of the parking spots.
The Cafeteria food is terrible!
Carlos F. and Mark Eastman are two very amazing teachers here at Cabrillo. Student Govt. disappointed me when they took away the
wireless internet. Parking situation needs to improve.
The only thing I do not like about many Cabrillo College teachers/professors is their language. Many use bad words as a way to express
what they feel about a particular subject. It is annoying and frustrating to have to deal with this.
They satisfied my needs.
Art classes are great.
I really want to take an auto shop class. I think it is crucial these days to know how to work on your own car.
One instructor is not a good teacher! Mo Moscovitz is the best - and Davidson. You don't have any film classes!

The pigeon poop piles got to go.
The classes are enjoyable and challenging. I have enjoyed my time at Cabrillo. The campus buildings however are in great need of
attention. Parking is a major problem.
Some classes are too big for me but I understand the need for bigger classes due to the growth of student population and lack of
qualified teachers.
I am in ASL1 with M. Moscovitz. You are lucky to have an instructor like him on staff. It would be great if you re-established the
language lab for sign language.
The instructors are very helpful and easy to reach, and the curriculum is well-placed in the length of the semester.
I would like to see ASL (Sign Language) offered at least 2 more semesters than it currently is offered.
This is my lst year at Cabrillo. The classes are good and the teachers are enthusiastic and helpful.
A lot of classes assign homework like it's the only class you're taking.
One instructor is too old to teach - she does not have patience and she treats college students like 2nd graders.
Compared to my educational experience at UCSC, I feel Cabrillo College is far superior. It is more affordable, classes are smaller thus
giving students more attention from the faculty. This is a great school!
The labs need to be available to all. Student govt not effective re: wireless internet. Construction sucks, but other than that I understand.
Wish that Cabrillo could provide a class schedule with a wider range of times.
Free parking for everybody, or NO MORE PARKING TICKETS!
You didn't define what you meant by diverse in #16. Racially educationally subject wise? I would like to see more class options in the
ALA and in the cooking section where I hear you may be canceling some classes. I would like to see more interesting classes for the
local community, not just kid's transferring to four year colleges.
There's only one class that was suited towards my goal of being a graphic designer. There's no classes on Bartending. Nothing on
Mortuary Science. Nothing on Beauty School.
Please offer Chinese Language class. There is no USB slot on computers. Please offer assessment for higher level (e.g., Math 4/Math
5).
Applied Living Arts (Inter. Design). It would be a benefit to have more classes available in this area.
I would love to see more Horticulture, Art and Interior Design, Applied Arts classes. These have been really cut back.
Teachers can be hit and miss. I have had great instructors, as well as a biased racist instructor.
I believe Cabrillo is an excellent college but could use more emphasis on race relations such as Dr. Omosope teaches in her English 2
course. Students should be required to take a multicultural course.
Class size can be too large in some cases. Also there need toe more sections offered in the Science classes especially BIO 4, 5, & 6.
I have received a "C" & a "B" in two classes where I had achieved "B" & "S" in terms of points but the teachers moved me down a grade
on unclear & unfair basis.
I would like to see more History classes.
Every class session is well prepared by the instructor.
Please release this instructor!
Thank you for working on the parking situation.
The classes seem to be really good and taught very well. And the instructors are great too.
Chairs and desks are out dated and too small and falling apart.
SOC1 instructor needs to be audited. In all my years of education I have never run into such insolence in a teacher. You must know this.
The classes are good. I haven't run into any problems since I started attending.
I think Cabrillo is a good school and offers plenty opportunity. The one thing I wish was that the teachers would be a little more willing to
take the time with me when I speak to them personally. They seem to want you in and out. Sometimes I don't feel I get the questions
answered that I need answered.
Please offer more than just German 1 and 2
We need more student parking very badly. It's sad to miss class or be extremely late due to lack of parking.
Spanish 18 will be good to have it.
Every class I've taken here at Cabrillo has been great; all the professors know their subjects inside and out!

Fire this instructor.
I have been very pleased with my experience at Cabrillo. Dr. Omosupe, Winnie Baer, Kanda Wheeley, Dr. Lee, and Terry Fetterman are
wonderful teachers. I actually have only had one bad experience with a teacher. They've all been great!
71
The instructors at Cabrillo are fantastic! The classes are great, but I would be happier if three were more classes available. I also believe
that Cabrillo wastes a lot of money on parking structures that are not necessary when it could be promoting classes or opening new
classes.

Need more Vocational type of classes.
Question 5 & 10 vary as I have had both amazing and disappointing teachers. Generally I have found the English Dept. most frustrating.
Big thumbs up to Claudia Close, Terry Fetterman & Kathy Cowen.
Well structured and good variety.
Though classes are filled to capacity, the instructors are extremely helpful. Some classes especially welding classes, have long waiting
lists and the school requires additional facilities to meet demands. Other classes, especially Beginning Autocad, lack an advanced
course to follow-up with studies.
Overall the classes at Cabrillo are pretty good. A wider range of times and days could be improved but again overall it's pretty good. This
is a good Community College!
Academic Counselors need to be more uniform in their advice. I've been to 3 different Counselors this semester and been told 3 different
things regarding the classes needed to transfer.
Also completed Aero 1. Mo Hassan is very good at challenging students, keeping them on task, & running a tight ship!
The classes are all fairly good; the environment is boring.
The Engineering Dept. is well organized offering many classes to prepare student for transfer. The staff is focused on student success
and very helpful in preparing students for transfer.
Some of my younger, less experienced instructors seem less prepared in lecture.
All the Science and Math courses at Cabrillo are great.
Classes such as the Hawaiian Heritage class next summer should be available more often as well as language classes. More recycling
trans cans would be great.
I am only taking two classes. I am enjoying my experience. I wish there was a language lab. I would take full advantage of it. I don't
believe there are enough computers; I seem to never get one in the library.
People, even schools, should not feel the need to obsess over the race, gender, etc. of faculty and staff, but rather the quality of the
people.
This looks like a scam to get more money. Cabrillo needs more money.
Your cafeteria should be bigger because many times there aren't enough seats. Perhaps offer more variety of foods. Perhaps make more
parking spaces as well.
The teaching staff has been very diverse; not in ethnicity or race but in organization and intelligence.
Offer more Fire Technology classes.
I would really like to have more Deaf Culture classes offered at this college. Advanced ASL etc. Perhaps an interpreting course to
prepare to take State exam.
I am taking different classes full-time for the first time and I have found that the instructors are very well informed and can pass on their
knowledge tome. They also are good at listening to my concerns and questions.
ESL education should provide better classes which can be a bridge from ESL to no-ESL classes.
Soc2 is run like we were in Elementary School….Get her some help!
The classes have a good pace. It is challenging without being overwhelming.
The parking is horrible.
For questions 8&9 I put 4 instead of 5 because I've had some great teachers who are very prepared and willing to listen but I've also
have one or two who just ramble their opinions the whole class and single some students out.
Great teachers, especially in Business courses. Communicate well the information taught.
This is the 3rd survey I've taken this week.
Some classes were more enjoyable that others, although I did not immediately plan my classes around my current educational goal.
Some instructors are very well prepared and give students great opportunities to learn. Others teach at a substandard level and need to
be observed and coached. Assessment process needs to be changed for students with learning disabilities. If a person has a disability
and has an accommodation to use calculator he /she should be able to use it in the assessment.
Many people I encounter that have attended Cabrillo always give positive feedback about Cabrillo.
Survey of American Pop Music is a great class. Sociology of Gender Roles is very interesting and informative.
All excluding one teacher I have had seem to have a personal interest in my individual education which makes it easier and more
rewarding to succeed.
Teachers need to answer e-mails by students and with an on-line class that is the only way to communicate.
More outside seating and cheaper food.
Classes are overcrowded. Construction is noisy. And there aren't enough classes offered. Also parking's a mess.
The parking is bad!
The furnace in the 400 building is shot; fix it.
In general classes are well planned and helped me in developing my views on the world and gave me a lot of useful information.

I have found all my classes to be very helpful towards my education and every teacher I've had has been great! I'm very pleased with my
decision with attending Cabrillo.
My best parking lot has been demolished for some unnecessary parking structure! Bad choice! We have enough parking! I'd rather have
more classes offered!
You should offer Latin Language classes
Buildings could be better maintained. Another thing (this has nothing to do with classes), the Cafeteria food choices changed a couple of
years ago for the worse! More funds would be appreciated in the Dance Department for performances in theatre (theatre floor, yuck!).
Too many classes are offered at inconvenient times and there are not very many Liberal Art Majors; music performance, specific
instrument performance, sign language (beyound2), majors in specific languages - other than Spanish, etc.
The Instructors are overall good except I have had a few instructors who allow comments from students that are not appropriate for
classes; closed minded remarks.
If the books have not changed don't make us buy the revised addition for $150.00. Most people that are going here (Cabrillo College)
don't have a lot of money and I think new books every semester is robbery.
This is the worst survey ever written. Insufficient details will provide you with nothing! Must be simpler and more direct!
The classes at Cabrillo are helpful and the teachers make a really big effort to make the student understand what the teacher is saying.
I've really enjoyed all my classes at Cabrillo. Mr. Fetterman, Ms.. Soltis and Mr. Eastman, have been great teachers.
Please get more Tutor's in the Writing Labs. Thanks.
Increase open hours of Reading Lab.
Every class I have attended here have been interesting, well prepared, and I have never been disappointed.
This is my 1st semester here so I am not familiar with the school. But what I see of it I like.
This instructor is racist and sexist.
I have been totally satisfied with my classes at Cabrillo. I was partially disappointed in my World Religions Survey course. The Professor
knew his stuff but he was obviously burnt out and treated it like it was High School in terms of expectations (class requirements) and
comments in class (ie "when you get to real college").
Real thorough and enthusiastic - considering it's Bio.; hard but really interactive.
The classes are too slow paced for my tastes.
There are classes that I want that are non-existent at Cabrillo. There are no classes what-so-ever dealing with Animation. I don't want to
be a boring painter. Animation!
All classes have been great (over 3 semesters). Cabrillo has a knack for hiring excellent instructors.
I transferred here from NorCAL and generally enjoy my classes. I actually feel guilty when I miss a class. I am doing much better here do
to the Professors maintaining my interest and the atmosphere here at Cabrillo.
Some teachers have brought unneeded political bias into the class to voice their own opinions, but that is a minor gripe. Also, the amount
of parking is somewhat limited with regard to the number of students and new parking is under construction.
Construction has caused a mess for both parking and grounds.
My one main concern is that some teachers bring their own personal politics into the classroom when they are inappropriate. It is not a
major problem, I can still do well in the classes, but it would be more professional without the comments. Most teachers are great though;
much better teachers than in High School.
More classes need to be offered in the higher levels of Physics and Math. I have to sacrifice one class for another because there aren't
alternative times.
Very impressed and pleased. Have attended eight colleges total and taught in a Vocational College, and this College can hold it's own
with the best.
Provide open access to weight room and pool.
When I first came to Cabrillo I was told by a Counselor that I could take a certain class; the system let me in. Then once in the instructor
told me I needed a certain prerequisite. Train your counselors better.
I love Cabrillo because of the beautiful campus. But the one problem is soda machines eating my money. I don’t have money to waste!
Computer lab does not have word processors on computer - bad.
I have enjoyed every class I have taken here at Cabrillo. I have found many of my instructors are very good at what they do.
I have enjoyed all the classes I have taken. I am disappointed that Chinese is no longer offered. Please bring back that program/class. I
am interested in an International Relations Major, and I would like to have Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) as my second language.
Thank you.
I think there should be a hands-on Aviation class to teach you to fly that actually gets you in the air; I don't know if there is a class like that
yet.
All classes in the schedule of classes seem interesting in their own right. Sadly I cannot take all the classes that seem like fun at this
time, maybe in later years after UCSC.

In general the classes I have taken have proven to be challenging, interesting, and informative, and at times a little fun.
Need more Word Processing labs and printers, otherwise perfect! This survey is pretty huge.
Please alter MW/T The classes in different semesters. Alternating times makes it easier for students who have busy schedules to take
their classes.
Since I came as an out of town student, the navigation at the school has gotten slightly better. It was very hard to find my way to
Assessment Center / Student Center & parking as a new student.
CEM courses could have more areas provided in each semester.
Class sizes could be smaller and not jammed in to a lecture hall for 3 hours. See Econ1A Tues evening for example of overcrowded.
Information about; assignments and lab time could be more clear and available.
Need more History classes and Auto shop.
I don't like that Cabrillo has no student life. The Assessment tests I feel placed me in the wrong class.
Cabrillo has been okay, but this semester I'm taking 2 classes at De Anza because they offer so much more (i.e.. Islamic Studies, History
of Russia, Arabic..) and these are all UC transferable! You had one semester of Middle East History that doesn't even transfer and you
cancelled it this year. Please try to offer more about Middle East; it is a big deal now!
Better and bigger desks and chairs needed.
Not enough selections for Journalism classes.
Teachers play favorites, especially in the Social Sciences.
I love Cabrillo teachers. I have went to 3 other JC's and Cabrillo has the best teachers and staff. I drive 40 miles to come here for that
reason.
Need more convenient tutoring classes.
There is a particular teacher on this campus that would have affected my answer differently if I had included her in this survey.
Some classes overcrowded.
I have had teachers who feel the need to share their Political beliefs (that are based on ** presented to us by the media) in totally
inappropriate situations. It is very irritating and makes them come off as unintelligent people.
I have had nothing but good and positive things happen here - teachers willing to help - labs with tutors are so helpful too.
I would like to see Cabrillo accept more students for their Radiology Program.
Parking is still difficult to get. Classes are also hard to get; more need to be offered.
Teachers need to better understand what ADD is and instead of saying they will help…actually help!
MA 170 A, MA 170 B: The grading scale is way above so it makes it hard to get and A or B.
Please re-think disability access to 2nd floor classrooms 1521 & 1522 ECE Building.
It would be good to have more night classes in the Watsonville Center.
Classroom appearances is somewhat or something that needs to be taken into consideration; better chairs and tables.
More Women's Studies classes!
My son had a positive experience at Cabrillo. I'm looking forward to the same.
If an instructor is knowledgeable and can teach well I wouldn't care what "ethical" background he or she's from. Secondly, the Student
Government leans too far to the left and can't take criticism.
I have not been impressed with the instructors at Cabrillo in comparison to the DeAnza/Foothill Instructors. It seems like they are trying to
fill a quota instead of trying to educate, inspire, and motivate their students.
Classes offered are broad and exceed the level of classes offered at other community colleges. The Photography Dept. staff is all top
notch.

The Biology classes specifically Anatomy (Bio 4) need some attention; most instructors are scattered, disorganized, and unhelpful.
179
Outstanding Philosophy Dept! Rivals the same classes at UCSC! Wonderful small class sizes and personal attention from teachers!
Out of the two other colleges I attended, one in O.C., and one on the East coast, I have to say this is by far the best college. I always try
to get other people to attend.

MA 170A has not a fair grading.; the grading is too high.
I have taken classes of and on for a while and only had one or two teachers I didn't like.
Shouldn't wait so long to drop kids. If they aren't present 1st day of classes then spot should be given to someone who shows.
Lack of available class times in Science Department is horrible!
The classes and the instructors are great.
I have enjoyed the classes I have taken and have always felt the classes fulfilled what I expected and wanted from the class.
More parking.
English 2 with Stan Rushworth is an excellent class. It is very helpful in better writing techniques. Pol Sci 1 with Sondra Ricar is a well
taught class and increases overall awareness in a mentally stimulating class.

Cabrillo is worth the hairy commute.
There has to be a more diverse instructional group. All I have seen are white people! I have attended Flex Week activity to observe
teaching group as a whole and I see that there is a problem here. The Watsonville Center is the only group to have it's act together.
Enjoy taking the classes; I feel comfortable in the classrooms.
The diversity of classes at Cabrillo is excellent, better than at UCSC!
I have experienced that if you put a lot of effort you can be successful in school at Cabrillo and to the University.
I think they should provide more variety of classes at Watsonville campus.
The classes at Cabrillo are small so it's easier for the instructors to communicate with the students.
Classes are so expensive and more when you don't receive financial aid for migratory status.
I like my classes because the teacher explains very well and the people are very nice.
Watsonville needs a Bio lab with cadavers(?) and mice(?). Dance class. We need a locker room in Watsonville.
I am very impresses with all of the instructors I have had so far. I enjoy being on campus and I see many motivated students.
Well organized. Cabrillo gives classes at all different times in the day.
I think that the Cabrillo in Watsonville should offer classes for the Nursing Program. For example the prerequisites like a higher math
(Math 12), Chemistry 30A in the day, etc.
I think they should offer Biology classes here at the Watsonville Campus. I think there should be more openings for Nursing as there are
a lot of students pursuing this career. I have found that a lot of people get discouraged due to a long wait.
In the Watsonville Campus I think that they need to do something about the parking and make the one in the street student parking
because they only have room for ten cars in the back.
In my opinion as for now all the classes I have taken in Cabrillo have been "great". I enjoy the subject, teachers, and the students in the
class. Cabrillo College has well established classes that make you feel good to be in the class.
There needs to be a wider variety of classes offered at the Watsonville campus and at better times. Many classes offered in Watsonville
are night classes, so it would be beneficial to have classes during the day.
The "diverse" questions aren't well formulated - do you mean ethnic diversity or the ability to speak many languages or to play different
types of music (rap, jazz, classical) or does it meant that Biology teachers should be teaching "intelligent design" as well as evolution?
There's not enough maintenance staff.
I have only taken 1 class, off campus, so I don't have opinions on many questions above.
I enjoy the classes that I enroll in because they are part of my career. The teachers are nice and helpful to me.
Cabrillo College fills the needs of our community - but I wish they would reinstate classes in the SLV area.
I only take a few classes from Cabrillo as I am a High School student, but the ones I have taken or am taking now (Span 1, Span 2, Math
4) have been very good.
My Spanish instructor, Ms. Babbe, is an amazing teacher with skills that are perfect for imparting language learning.
I am retired and taking only Spanish classes. I have not used any of the resources at Cabrillo that are mentioned above.
Counselors at Cabrillo in my experiences don't know what they are talking about - I've seen many different counselors and they all say
something different for example one may say that a particular class will count for specific units (then you take the class0 and the
counselor the next year says it doesn't transfer.

Prerequisites should reflect intended course material not transferability.
Computer lab too far away from main campus, especially with construction going on.
Career Planning is extremely helpful and friendly. And their computer services have been indispensable.
Good overall, hate the parking situation.
The Library's technology and information resources are wonderful!
There is a total breakdown in the process of physically delivering diplomas. I am still waiting 3 years for one after a dozen or more
requests. A second one had the wrong degree title and a replacement has not been sent 10 months after graduating. A third is 4
months late.
Better parking - destroying two parking lots at the same time was a mistake!! Financial Aid - why ask for student info when more than
likely the student is not eligible. New system, one that's proportional to actual circumstances.
Assessment needs to have more preparatory information. All the parking is taken up in the morning. More bike parking on upper
campus.
I am interested in going to medical school. Cabrillo has no advisors for me to receive counseling. Parking sucks. I do know that the
college is working on this! :-)
Nah. I love this place, but don't use many of the above services.
Bikram Yoga
The Cafeteria is horrible! The food is unhealthy and sits in warming bins all day, which are breeding grounds for bacteria. Almost all of
the food they serve has sugar in it.
Student govt. started a wireless program but did a poor job of getting students involved. We needed more advertising of the networks
availability plus an easier way to get a password to make it more successful. There just are not enough computers available in the
Library.
Bookstore prices are too high. Need more parking.
The parking is a problem. Also, the counselors give different info.
I wish we had a closer computer lab.
Counseling has never been helpful for me. They always seem very uninterested in my concern and irritated when I ask questions.
Because Cabrillo Rocks!
I feel that cheaper, used books should be available.
Health Services Rocks and should be commended for it. Financial Aid takes too long. Parking sucks.
I have had difficulty meeting a counselor who could help me with my transfer request. The time allowed for the service has always been
much too short and the staff never seem to know anything about the transfer requirements for SFSU.
Cabrillo is the college south of San Jose that offers a Journalism program and degree. That's why I came here. I would like to see it
expanded.
I am unsatisfied with the computer lab because of the complicated system involving passwords, the lack of hours that it is open, the poor
quality of help from the staff, and the limited access both with browser quality on the internet and availability of computers.
The open computer lab. The programs on the computers need to be accessible to everyone not just Digital Media classes.
The counseling at Cabrillo is terrible. Every time I go to get counseling the people are rude and I feel they just do not care about helping
me. They are not knowledgeable, and they have not helped me at all. I went in to get a TAA filled out and the counselor acted as if I had
interrupted her lunch or something. I now do all of my own counseling and only go to them if something is really wrong or if they are the
only ones who can help.
Jay Jackson is great.
The only thing I feel strongly about is how hard it is to find parking and how expensive it is to pay for parking for those who have little
money. We have to park terribly far or arrive very, very early when one doesn't have money to pay for parking.
We all know parking is a problem so hopefully that will be fixed in the future. Math lab you have to wait forever and I don't like that you
have to get up and go on the computer if you need help. I think there's only a couple of counselors that want to really help us.
Kudos to the Library and staff! Parking is horrible, surprise, surprise. Construction during the middle of the semester isn't helping.
I would like the Library to be opened longer. I work 30 hrs. a week, and the Library is the best place where I can study - but it's only open
for a small period of time, perhaps it if was extended to 10pm.
I am pretty satisfied!
I think the Writing Lab and Math Lab are terrific. Wonderful resource for students
The Library is great the way it is - the staff are very nice and helpful.
Parking is difficult unless you have early morning classes.
Transportation
The general Counselors wasted a semester of my education for having me take classes I didn't need. They should instruct all engineers
to go to Joan Panzardi. She is wonderful.
Additional CTC needed closer to Math/Science buildings (700, 800)
There needs to be more computers available to students.
MLC is one of the most important places for me. The help is excellent.

It would be nice to have word processing near the library.
Financial Aid is often inefficient and ambiguous…process time is longer than it needs to be. The coffee bar is terrible. The staff does not
seem to know how to make quality coffee drinks.
Better quality of food in Cafeteria.
Parking is expensive.
The Career Planning staff is excellent. It is impossible to park close in the morning without waiting 45 minutes. The Bookstore staff is
inattentive. One woman in the Cafeteria is very rude.
There is not enough parking! Please build another parking lot or provide free parking please.
I have never been able to register smoothly. No one knows where to find the people with answers, class schedules are not accurate
even on the internet. I can't use my online registration and no one has emailed me to tell me how to fix it, even though I have tried to
contact them.
The parking here is horrible. I've spent over half an hour looking for parking!
The wait for Admissions and for Financial Aid is ridiculous.
Parking here sucks! Student Senate needs to show themselves a little more.
I feel most parking lots are not gone through enough by officers for students who don't have permits and students who do have them.
Parking here is horrible. There just aren't enough places to park near upper campus.
Childcare - you do not have sufficient childcare. The attitude revolving around it is horrid. Even trying to get on a wait list is grueling.
The computer lab times they're open are limited and the location is completely inconvenient. The transfer department needs to be more
organized and helpful. EOPS counselors need training on what classes they recommend to students. Parking still sucks.
Using the phone book as contact was difficult and frustrating because I was bounced around phone lines because nobody seemed to be
able to answer my questions.
Framing and Matting
There should be no parking tickets, money rapping bastards. Everything else is perfect. Good job!!!!!
It seems that Admissions & Counseling don't really care and they just brush you off to "help" the next person.
One Counselor was very rude to me last year. I think she retired though.
Parking is the biggest nightmare, EVER! The Bookstore was out of my Math book. They ordered one for me and gave me a receipt.
That was 5 weeks ago! Still trying to borrow Math book from friend.
I think you should know that the gravel parking lot is out of control.
The staff parking lots are underutilized much of the time - reorganizing - reevaluating "staff only" parking times would be helpful. More
options available for use with paid parking pass.
The Bank line takes FOREVER! Not enough parking.
Cafeteria is now taxing pre-prepared (and already) packaged food. I tried to get an explanation from the Cafeteria staff - none of the
workers knew why there was a tax, and the manager was vague and hard to understand.
I believe the Cabrillo Childcare program is excellent. I am enrolled in Casa Pequena and hope to have my son at the center next Fall.
Without this service I could not meet my educational goals. Even with cuts in funding these programs must continue!
Parking is unsatisfactory! Should wait to close lots for renovation until winter or summer terms.
The quality of the food offered is very bad. We live in one of the strongholds for organize and sustainable food and we should be utilizing
that resource.
Financial Aid office and staff is generally great. Library is wonderful. Parking needs instructions on where to place permit.
I like the new outline of the admissions and financial aid office.
There is not enough parking and the cafeteria staff need customer service training.
Parking enforcement is incompetent. I was mistakenly given a ticket for the wrong purpose and then had to pay it.
I personally don't use services of the student senate but I was angered when I listened in to a small portion of their meeting to hear that
they had to be bribed to go to Watsonville to perform services, but were okay offering services anywhere else off campus. If members of
the Student Government have a stereotypical view of Watsonville then I believe not all members of the campus are being taken seriously.
Financial Aid needs help! The reason a student applies for aid is because they need it. They need it when schools starts! In 6 semesters
at Cabrillo I have not received my aid when school starts. It's been a month or more late. This is critical for buying books to start class
with. No money for books puts a student behind in their classes before they begin.
Since the remodel things have run much smoother.
Book store too small.
The fee for parking in a staff parking lot by accident is more than half price of the parking permit! It was absurd to pay that much if you
didn't see the staff parking sign.
I don't feel strongly.
Admissions is a tangled web of bureaucracy and waste. It really needs to be improved. Also the whole deal with "returning high school
students" having to re-apply each semester is a nuisance.
Transfer counselor could have been nicer and more personable (maybe she was having a bad day?)

Parking sucks due to lack of spots (I park off campus now). And counselors are friendly but often have not been able to give me a solid
answer.
The system used at the book store to receive textbooks is tremendously dysfunctional and results in log waits. It would work better if the
books were out on shelves and the students were able to go in and pick them out. The cafeteria needs a wider selection of healthy foods.
Parking has become much better. I believe it is due to my learning the ropes of when to come and where to wait.
Cabrillo's best parking lot was destroyed! The new structure is completely unwarranted.
I know parking is being improved but it still sucks. Open before 8 AM.
Parking is atrocious. Not enough room and too far away and temp. permit machines broken 1/2 the time.
Well, I am kind of upset that I have too take this exam twice. I do not enjoy wasting my time twice.
Need an auxiliary location for the book store for those of us who never leave the 500 building. Parking is terrible - what else is new?!
Evening signal arrow should be longer.
Parking is too expensive and little space, so you might pay to part by the church.
Need more parking
MLC, MESA are great. Cafeteria unorganized and unfriendly.
Parking is terrible! Construction process needs to speed up. Financial Aid sucks as well. I still haven't heard back from them for this
semester.
I feel that MESA Center is a real good service that is offered.
Why the hell doesn't Cabrillo have Wi-Fi?
MESA & PLC are awesome.
No coffee available at night.
I really enjoy and find the PLC and MLC and Access sessions helpful.
Cafeteria food is unhealthy, tastes bead, and it too expensive! What has Student Government done?
Parking is terrible. Cafeteria worse than High School.
Cafeteria overpriced. Bad choices, bad food.
Parking sucks; not enough & long walk uphill to classes.
I think the parking is horrible. The staff has got an abundance of parking while students take 1/2 hour to find. Books entirely too
expensive. Buy back on used sucks then Cabrillo gets "top dollar" for it.
I think the staff at Writing Center are not helpful because they don't really pay attention to students need for writing and ignore some right
that student should have. For example students can "only" print out essays for English classes but History and Art History class that
requires essays.
Parking is tough. Hard to find parking near classes.
I think the Math Learning Center is one of the strongest reasons I have chosen to stay at Cabrillo. The staff and tutors are FANTASTIC!!
They are always helpful, patient, and kind. I would not have survived my Math classes (which are a necessity) without them.
The Bookstore is very well put and stocked.
Your Health Center saved my arm! Thank you.
Rude workers at the bookstore. Very friendly man in counseling. The hill to get up to classes hurts my car.
Parking sucks!
Only thing with admissions when picking up paperwork must show I.D.; frustrating because I don't bring it with me so it's a hassle. I
understand privacy but who wants your paperwork?
Counselors are helpful when choosing classes.
I strongly believe that whenever there are certain events the cafeteria gets used. I believe all events should be made somewhere else
and not take up the few space that is in the cafeteria.
The Police are useless; they do nothing but loiter.
Parking is very difficult.
The food! This is Santa Cruz! Let's get some health food, local organic, macrobiotic yummies! So we can think clearly without lots of
sugar, fats, chemicals taxing our bodies.
My assessment scores were not put into the computer system and my classes were almost dropped.
I feel that the parking situation here at Cabrillo is terrible. I am not sure if I will purchase a parking permit next semester. I did this fall and
feel as though it was a waste of $40.00 as I am rarely able to find a spot anywhere and most of the time have to park out on Soquel
Drive.
Assessment - I first took the assessment at my High School but I took the wrong Math sections and scored low. So I went to Cabrillo
campus to just take the Math. I got there early and was the first one but this blonde lady said I couldn’t take it unless there was an open
seat after everyone else. Then she let a guy in who was in the same situation as me. So I took it through paper.
Fast Track is wonderful. More funds should be allocated to assist more people.
Parking is unsatisfactory
MLC - I took Finite Math (Math13) last Fall (04) & there were no qualified tutors to assist in this course.

When assessed my results weren't transferred from their computers to main database. Very inconvenient; delayed registration.
The library is wonderfully enriching.
My friends car was unable to start do to some problems so we called the officer and he was not cool, he had this attitude.
Food served in cafeteria is horrible and cleanliness needs attention.
The MLC is so helpful. The staff is very knowledgeable.
The Transfer Center is very helpful. I am very pleased with the counselors.
Gazebos are great and the staff are always cheerful. Parking is usually always a problem.
Parking at the Watsonville Center is terrible for night classes; not enough permit parking.
Parking generally sucks here but tit is better than in past semesters.
On average I am given average, mediocre service.
Parking is terrible. It seems pointless to build new parking structures that are only 2 levels as opposed to 3 or 4 or more. Assessment is
fine but information in regard to assessment is poor.
The Math Center is a wonderful place and I always feel welcome there.
Admissions and Records has managed to loose my transcript from UCR twice.
Parking is horrible.
Tutoring is great!
I feel parking sucks and needs to be worked on. We need more parking.
Need computer lab with Microsoft Word and accessible printer.
Transfer Center: UC to CSU evaluators.
Some counselors have been kind of discouraging and unhelpful with my transfer questions. They print out papers and send me on my
way with no sign of interest or concern about my questions.
Make more parking! It's a long walk to get a transportation bus.
There is not enough student parking.
Wireless internet in Library
It was more difficult to get admission and registration than it should be.
I'm not satisfied with many career planning, career counseling employees. They are often incompetent and not helpful at all.
I feel that the Registration Staff could have a little better attitude some times.
They demolished the most convenient and comfortable parking lot! There's go to to be more information about Colleges for transfer!
There needs to be more Psychology classes offered.
Even though parking has been expanded it feels impossible sometimes to find a spot. Some times I'm even 20 minutes early and cannot
find a spot forcing me to be late to my classes.
The Cafeteria food is disgusting now. I liked the old Cafeteria Staff and food. How can Cabrillo offer a "CAHM" A.S. when their food is
horrible. Practice what you teach!
Parking is nuts! Counseling didn't help me with what I needed and there was not enough time in the counseling session. Some lines are
too long.
Easier access to clubs.
You can't have people paying for parking permits and then only give out a handful of permit parking spots. I have to park like a mile
away from my classes in the free parking area.
The prices at the food services need to be decreased. Parking needs to be much more flexible.
Parking; there's not enough room.
The food in the Cafeteria is so bad and expensive. Please more good food if you offer expensive food. Bigger Bookstore.
The parking is horrible, but I know that it's being improved now.
Do not have wireless internet.
The Financial Aid Program is beginning to cut or demolish student funds for people that desperately need it. The criteria for financial aid
is much too unreasonable due to budget cuts. There are people that really need it that aren't getting the help or support they need.
I hate the parking situation here.
Parking is too expensive when there is not an adequate amount of parking spaces.
Parking is very difficult to find unless you come at 8 AM.
Finishing up the new parking lot areas will help out a lot. The cafeteria staff is the best.
Parking situation is horrible! Why start new parking projects at the beginning of the school year?!
Registering for classes was very difficult and took a really long time. And there is not place to park.
$2.45 for a Frappachino? You have got to be kidding! Too expensive!
The parking is inadequate (severely).Taking so many spots for visitors only demonstrates a lack of concern over an already known issue.
The Job Placement Center now requires use of SS#'s; this is why I no longer use it; shows disregard regarding identity theft concerns.

Student employment was horrible; I had a rude person shouting my username and password across the room just so I could go on-line
and search. I could have done that at home and kept my info. confidential. Counseling however has been amazing. The people have
been extremely friendly and helpful every time I've gone in.
Admissions lost my paperwork and didn't explain things clearly.
Registration should be able too add on-line during 1st week of classes; add slips are frustrating. Financial Aid: too long of wait to get file
reviewed.
General counseling isn't great because they don't tailor your major to your school course load. Why would a counselor want me to take a
drawing class if I want to be an engineer? However, the subject-oriented counselors are good. EI, Engineering counselors are good.
Counseling is bad. I have seen many people waste time and money on classes they were told to take but didn't need. Also checking for
classes they needed to graduate.
Parking sucks!
Parking sucks!
Counseling for any serious Science, Math, Pre-Med, etc. person is awful (when you go to general counselors). Specific counselors i.e..
Engineering counselors, are good though. The general counselors encourage you to waste time in unnecessary classes and don't give
you an idea of what you really need to take, even when you know what goal you have in mind. Several friends I know have been told their
plans simply would not or could not happen. That's not what we need to hear!
Parking is horrible. There is no clearly defined areas where you can park, and enforcement with tickets is far from consistent, and now we
have half the lots to park in.
No parking!
Parking could be improved.
Health services are great. Their staff is very knowledgeable.
The gazebo closes at 7:00 but there are a lot of night classes that give 10 minute breaks at 7:30, after it is too late to get coffee! This
must be rectified.
Parking is terrible in the morning.
I'm not thrilled with the parking, however it has to do with my position as an extreme part-time student; I usually only have one class per
semester. A seasonal parking permit is not fiscally practical, but paying $2.00 every time I need to park is obnoxious. The machines don't
always work (early mornings in the fog) and I don't' always have the right change.
They're good.
The bookstore is extremely overpriced even when compared to other colleges.
I was not satisfied with my experience with a Career Counselor. I felt rushed and I also felt like she was not understanding my requests or
what subjects I was interested in. It seemed that she was rushing me through the process rather than "counseling" me.
When I went to register the lady didn't know what she was talking about and made me do a whole long process. And the cafeteria food is
gross.
Bookstore on main campus staff and service are unsatisfactory; bad service.
I like the bookstore and Transfer Center; lots of info. At T.C. and someone is always there; got all my books in 20 minutes.
They used to have quality condiments at the coffee stations but now only white sugar or artificial? Bring back raw sugar and honey and
more creamer selections.
The cafeteria has very bad food! Cabrillo teaches Business and Economics classes- lets see it in action- a little competition could go a
long way in improving quality.
Cafeteria is too expensive, gazebo is too crowded. Parking down right sucks; I take the bus. People in Admissions are slow, don't know
much, and have kept me waiting almost every time.
Admin. & Records: great customer service both on phone and in person!
You need to be able to print in the Library as well as word process.
Math Lab is great!
Offer more class times - i.e.. evenings. For instance, Journalist Majors have very small window for taking classes. No evening classes
are offered and this is not ideal for the 9-5 working class.
Job placement could use some more info. Mainly towards "business oriented" or Apprentice type of jobs. Not just yard working or elderly
care.
I don't think Student Government fairly represents the whole student body.
When I saw a Counselor they were not very helpful.
Some people in the bookstore are good while a couple are douche bags (some 45 year old guy and 20 year old girl last semester).
Admissions and Records and Financial Aid Services on this campus are very good. I have attended other Community Colleges and all
aspects on this campus greatly exceed previous experiences!
We need more parking available; it's hard to find parking sometimes.
Parking at Cabrillo is way too much of a hassle.
I think most people have good hearts they are just too busy to show it all the time.
The parking is the pits. In order to get parking for a 9:30 class I have to leave my home at 7:30 to be here at 8:15. That's bad.
The Learning Center , Library, etc. are great!

The registration process, while painless, I would have preferred to have completed it on-line. I needed to fill out a very small card (in
person) only indicating why I wanted to repeat a course and this easily could have been available on-line. It was a 30 minute drive to
answer a 10 second question!
Bookstore is below par. Library is great. Bookstore and registration are too small for this size of school.
Parking is very bad, never enough space, and the parking control are too often happy to give tickets of $25.00 and more. The boxes for
daily permits take your money; I have lost $4.00 this semester!
Math Lab rules!
I was never told about the Assessment.
Admissions and Records: This summer I canceled one class 2 days after it started and I had to pay full tuition! How stupid is that?!
I got three different answers about what classes I needed to transfer and they all turned out wrong. Now I need to wait an extra semester
to transfer.
Childcare: Needs to serve low income families, as well as students, not just single mothers.
Please extend computer lab 1400 hours to Friday, Saturday & Sunday 9AM to 9:45 PM.
Cafeteria food needs to improve. We need a better menu and more sanitized.
More parking!
What does Student Government do for the students? Seems that they only help them self.
$40.00 parking fines when machines don't work? Hardly any places to park at peak hours. Fix it.
the cafeteria is awful. Poor selection and even worse accommodations.
I haven't had a good experience with counseling. They didn't appear knowledgeable or willing to help.
I think the number of parking spaces available on upper campus is disproportionate to the number of students attending class at day time
classes. There should be more spaces.
The MLC tutors are very helpful.
I am looking forward to more completed parking structures.
Often times admissions and records staff are rude and they don't smile.
Counselors don’t tell everyone that class with 3 #'s don’t count for grade transfer.
The parking is horrible. Someone should do something about it (parking here at Aptos and for the most part Watsonville).
Financial Aid takes way to long to process your paperwork. I know that every college is different but this is the second JR. College I
attend and Cabrillo's Financial Aid Service sucks!
I personally find the LRC is amazing.
Student Government?! What have they done?! Transfer/Counseling members have all said different things! More parking!
Parking is too expensive!
Counselors are too rule-band, esp. with regard to waving prerequisites.
I think the counseling personnel could be a little more friendly and helpful and no-judgmental. I also had an awful experience with the
bookstore and feel they handled every aspect of my problem incorrectly. I also think they should train staff a lot better before having them
handle cash and credit.
Campus police should hand out parking tickets. Not Cabrillo students employed by Cabrillo.
I had to drop a class because I could not find parking the first two weeks of school.
All services provided are extraordinary.
Lost my cell phone at the parking lot near the Sheriff's Station and someone left it there and the office was very pleasant.
Cafeteria food is horrible, lack any healthy food and quality and is sub-par even for fast food.
As a student I depend on Admissions and Records and Counselors to know about Cabrillo and policies to make it easier for me to be
able to take classes and reach my goals. I feel that there is a lot of information given to me only to be given "another story" a week later.
Very frustrating.
Parking- referring to Watsonville Campus.
I have had nothing but problems after problem with the people in Admissions. They are not very nice and don’t want to help us even
when it is not my fault.
The President and Vice President are professionals and do not care about student advancement.
Hard to find parking spaces.
Myself and many other students have gone to the Integrated Learning Center in Watsonville to get help in Math and let me just say those
people are amazing. The College should learn from these people.
Why do you need to know all this? Cabrillo is just fine.
Need to put books on displays in bookstore; students return the books themselves, like other Colleges.
Parking. I think this is self explanatory at both locations.
I noticed I don't use some of the resources out there for me. Maybe I should.
The government at school does crap. I never see them do anything let alone for me!
Writing Center, Math Lab and MESA have helped me pass my classes in these areas.

Parking is bad. Their isn't enough to cover scheduling of different classes. By 8-9 Am all parking is taken.
Parking; there is not enough! I have received tickets because of this but I have evening classes so I don't want to park far away.
I feel that there is not enough parking spaces.
Internship placement was awful. I had to find it all by myself because there were only 3 spots available for the entire Phlebotomy class!
And it was a required for Certificate.
No parking in the Watsonville Center.
Have a childcare center in the Watsonville campus.
Parking is very bad because every time I come to school and anywhere I always get a ticket.

Why don’t we have a bigger cafeteria? Watsonville make the parking lot bigger? Because in order for us to succeed we need a good
breakfast.
All the services are good because they've been there when we need it. The only fact I don't like is that E.O.P.S. and Financial Aid doesn't
help undocumented students, which makes me feel discriminated!
The lady in the Financial Aid Office is rude. She is the one that is in the Watsonville Campus and has dark skin and dark hair. She wears
too much make-up. She is very, very unhelpful. I went in one day and she sent me away because I didn't have all my paperwork filled out.
I came in the next day in the same situation but another girl was there and she helped me out completely.
I think there should be an EOPS here at the Watsonville Center.
The services I have used are very well organized, friendly, and with a helpful staff.
I don’t feel that there is enough parking at the Watsonville Campus and would like to see more.
Parking is very bad. We need more parking.
Everything is good.
We don't have enough parking space at the Watsonville Center.
I think that overall the staff is very helpful, and willing.
I really don't like the parking. It's bad. We need more space maybe with the Library. I don't like having to park 3-4 blocks down the
street.
Bookstore - shouldn't keep on buying new book editions so often. Instructors (Math) agree that there is no difference between old and
new books.
More help for students that are single. It's not fair that there's so much help for people with children. What about single people that live
on their own with no help from their parents. It's sad to know some people can't afford college because they are declined for Financial
Aid. Of course we work full time to support ourselves.
Parking is ridiculous!!! There is never enough parking spaces and it makes getting to class on time very difficult!
Parking at both campuses are bad.
I buy my books on the internet because it is so much cheaper.
Not enough parking (or it's under construction).
Counselors helping students decide which class to choose for the semester is very unsatisfactory!

A focus on mid-life care changers with an understanding of the value of coursework, career experience and life experience in the
process of determining what "pre-requisites" are required for Cabrillo diplomas.
More bike-friendly paths and parking.
Open gym/weight/pool etc. times.
A pre-med advisor, or at least some formal/or informal pre-med educative experiences for existing counselors.
Field Biology
Free wireless; fix your website - it sucks.

Shuttle service and busses are down. Library should stay open later and open earlier.

Cabrillo College has all it needs for the student. I'm glad I have the opportunity to achieve my education here.

Bring back the wireless internet!
Please make sure the PLC and MESA stay open!
More access to computers (internet).
Free swimming pool.
More variety in Cafeteria.
Financial Aid for international students.
Make info. About scholarships, open forums with professionals who explain in layman terms who can qualify and how to apply.
More clubs!
Mardi Gras
Language Lab for Sign Language.
You have a lot of disabled students and I believe they affect my ability to receive a fair education because they can hold up a class. I
feel they shouldn't be segregated, yet you should let students know or give them classes that are more accommodating.
Film
Free parking. That's it.
PM Chaperones / Parking Lot - off street parking security.
Surf Team
What we have now is adequate.
More intramural sports. Open gym for basketball.
Newsletters
Parking sucks! How about shuttles? Or no costs parking permits.
More sports programs like Flag Football
A designated building for studying (the library often is too full too study with a group).
There should be more afternoon classes, i.e.. 12-5
It would be nice to have a language learning lab again.
Japanese language lab.
Entertainment such as Ping-Pong, Bowling, Pool. More questions should be directed towards people transferring to Cabrillo from other
facilities; Q6 is useless.
Career planning. I met someone who didn't help me at all. I felt like it was a waste of time.
My incorrect out of state status has not been corrected despite my having brought proof of my California citizenship on two separate
occasions.
Help for Minorities such as Hispanic, African American & Asian decent.
A place to meet more people.
Student housing
I would love more visible contact with the clubs.
More PC's and less MAC's. I would like the Cabrillo site to be more functional for registration. Navigation is confusing, and the
services are down a lot of the time.
I would like the Language Center to re-open. Also I would like an Internship Program for career majors.

Job assessment and clinical services.
Registration was a hassle. they never sent me my registration papers with my student ID#.
More Tutors.
More parking.
Loose the recruiters on campus; I'm here to learn!
More open computer labs on upper campus.
I would like help with internships.
Automotive program.
Library and Computer Labs open overnight (for students that go to school and work and cannot attend during day)
More Medical oriented. Medical therapist.
Classes and programs that fit better with the times of local High Schools.
I would add more services for future teachers or some more info on it.
I think that the services offered met and exceeded my expectations so I don't feel there's anything Cabrillo really needs.
More walkways to the street; it's always a long way around!
Programs for the older students.
Jobs where you can gain more experience not just "money".
More tutoring classes.
Better food and healthcare.
CTC Watsonville should have more hours open.
Glass Blowing
L.P.N. in the Nursing Dept. They only have RN Med. Assist. I don’t have the time or credits for a RN. And an L.P.N. would be more
practical to achieve. I am an older returning student.
Used book swaps. Please re-think disability access to library.
More tutorials and more open labs (science).
Some sort of help with health care. (insurance?)
Provide e-mail or some other way to communicate with someone who is in the career you are studying for.
More different ethnic background.
Internet for personal laptop.
More Science programs/class times. Those classes fill up fast so get more!
A Financial Aid counselor!
Expanded hours for Learning Disability's Assessment.
Better labs for various classes such as Medical Assisting in Watsonville also.
More classes in Watsonville.
I would like it if it was not required to be enrolled in 7 total units to participate in CWEE. I have 2 children and I work and go to school.
No unit requirement would be amazingly helpful.
Vocational construction classes like Residential Electrical, Plumbing, Heating, A.C., etc.
There needs to be a more frequent visit from outside Universities.
More financial help with books, bus passes and materials.
More Bio classes offered. I couldn't even get on waiting list.
We need a day care in Watsonville Center.
More tutors on the ILC.
I am positive that the new building project would cover anything that I may feel is lacking. Perhaps we could have some of the Student
Council issues made more public for the students to acknowledge.
Student study groups assigned for students to gather information and ideas. Set the group topic and class.

More English and Spanish speakers.
I'm not satisfied with the number of computers in the Library. There are never enough computers and Computer Lab doesn't have

It would be appreciated if instructors and admissions would announce or provide written notice about deadlines to receive refunds on
classes or labs that a student doesn't qualify for/or to after paying the fee. Administration needs to lighten up and let students receive
these fees back. I'm not rich, that's why I'm here to increase my career potential. I can't afford to lose money because instructions on
dropping classes aren't printed in the Reg. booklet.
No sure.
