Credit by exam 2014-2015 CLEP and DSST and quiz-outs Kansas State University Manhattan, Kan. Kansas State University encourages you to test out of courses in which you already have academic knowledge comparable to that gained in collegiate study. Two national credit by examination opportunities are available: the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DSST). CLEP and DSST tests can be scheduled through the Academic Assistance Center, 101 Holton Hall, 785-532-6492. The following registration fees are paid at the time of the examination: CLEP, $105 per test; DSST, $105 per test. Credit is awarded to students who are admitted and/or currently enrolled. If the letter grade is awarded, it will become part of your K-State GPA. This credit is considered resident credit and may be treated as pre requisites for subsequent courses. Non-graded credit by exam will not be counted against credit/no credit limits.
