Textbook Rental Program
The program consists of five titles with the rental price set at 40% of the new book price. For these titles students will have
the choice of a new book (100%), a used book (75%) or a rental book (40%).
The five titles for Fall 2009 are:

We are unable to process rental requests via the web due to a contract that needs to be filled out in person. If you are
interested in participating in this rental program, please come in to the store as early in the semester as you can, as books
are limited and once we rent out the books, no more will be added for the semester.

Computer Tech Center--CTC, Building 1400 (Aptos)
ILC in Watsonville
Scotts Valley Center
If the cost of a required textbook is $50.00 or more, a single copy of those textbooks will be on reserve. This innovative
textbook loan program is funded by a grant from the Cabrillo College Student Senate. At least one copy of the most
expensive required textbooks is on reserve at the library or in other sites serving students. The reserve textbooks are
intended for shared use. Most of the reserve textbooks are located in the Cabrillo library on the Aptos campus. The
textbooks for CIS, CS, CABT and DM courses are on reserve in the CTC in Aptos. If the course is taught at the Watsonville
Center a copy will be on reserve at the Integrated Learning Center (ILC) in Watsonville. If the course is taught at the Scotts
Valley Center the books will be available for shared use in the Admissions and Records office in Scotts Valley.

Look up the title of a textbook in the library catalog, or
Look up the Course Name or Instructor Name under "Course Reserves," or
Ask a librarian for help locating the textbook's call number.
Note the LOCATION and the CALL NUMBER of the textbook you are looking for.

5. Write down the call number or reserve number of the textbook and ask for the book at the LOCATION shown in
the catalog record.
6. The Textbooks on Reserve at the library can be checked out for a 2 hour loan period.
Look-A-Book Program
This is a book loan program for eligible applicants. This program will also buy 1 book up to $200 for a student. All books
must be returned by the end of the semester in the same condition they were borrowed in or a hold will be placed on your
account. You must be a full-time student. Apply in the Transfer Center building 100.
