Cabrillo Stroke and Disability Learning Center Voice – March-April 2016 Message from Cynthia Dear Stroke Center Students, Happy Spring everyone! Countdown has begun until our beloved Giants are back on the home field with their line-up! We are so happy to see you back in our halls, classes, and out on the patio again during these gorgeous coastal days. Happy school and work environments contribute to being happier and healthier people. This spring we welcome two new players to our line-up of staff with the addition of medical assisting interns---Julia and Jason. Julia will primarily be assisting Terri in the office, and Jason will primarily be assisting Lenny in mobility classes. They will also have the opportunity to sit in with students and instructors in other classes this spring. As we enjoy the spring season we are also looking ahead to summer plans, and we are so glad to be offering a six-week summer session this year. Registration for both Summer 2016 and Fall 2016 will happen during the mornings of April 19th-21st during regular class time, so please come to your classes those days, and then we will progress through the class rosters to assist you with registration in the cafeteria and deciding on class preferences and fits. You’ll see that this semester we have weekly themes to help everyone in their learning process. I’m particularly looking forward to April and our baseball week. Go Giants!
