Overview

This learning
journey explores innovation in new product development that could contribute to a healthier diet,
understanding current legislation and how nutritional packaging works, marketing strategies and business ethics.
Learners will gain an insight into future career opportunities through the vast array of jobs within the Scottish Food
Industry and ultimately being able to reflect on their own diet choices.
Through experiential situations learners will be able to further their understanding of the food and drink industry
within their local environment and Scotland. Learners will work on their critical and creative thinking skills, working
with others and taking responsibility for their own learning.
