January, 2008
ABOUT THE 2007 ONE-YEAR ALUMNI SURVEY
•
Surveys were sent electronically to alumni who graduated in December 2005, May 2006, and
August 2006 for whom e-mail addresses were provided by the Alumni Association.
• The Office of Assessment obtained e-mail addresses for 1,405 graduates; 172 were
undeliverable.
•
The overall response rate was 50% (618 out of 1,233).
•
We applied two new approaches to the survey process in 2007: 1) we asked the Dean of each
college to write the introductory letter (in the past it was a letter from Provost Nellis), and 2)
we promoted the Alumni surveys with articles in the @K-State electronic alumni newsletter.
There were articles published in the September and October e-newsletter about last year’s
results, and inviting participation in the 2007 surveys. For comparison, the overall response
rate in 2006 was 33% (474 out of 1,429)
•
This report consists of frequencies on each question from the 2007 One-Year Alumni survey.
