Our logo
How we look
These guidelines describe the basic rules of designing with/ reproducing
the PLFind brand.
In order to get the maximum benefit from these guidelines, they must
be used consistently, as even small variations will undermine the impact
of the PLFind identity.
Things to remember
Always refer to PLFind in full.
When using the brand name on printed or digital materials, please
always write it in Title Case.
Use the brand device (magnifying glass) as a background component on
printed materials ONLY as described in these guidelines. Never use the
device on any other brands’ printed or digital materials.

Logo size
Minimum size
Legibility of the logo is very important. Minimum widths, when adhered
to, ensure the logo is being fully optimized for use on screen and in
print. The sizes below do not include clear space. Please ensure you add
this proportionally. Our recommended minimum sizes:
On print materials
The minimum size on printed
materials is 47 mm wide at a
minimum resolution of 300dpi.
47 mm
On digital media
The minimum size on digital
screens is 134 px wide at a resolution of 72dpi.
134 px

Clear space
Give it plenty of breathing space
Minimum clear space ensures correct presentation of the logo. It frames
and defines our logo from other elements such as headlines, text,
imagery and outside edges of printed materials and digital space.
The size of the ‘S’ inside the large ‘e’ of the Education Scotland logo
is used to define the minimum clear space around the logo as shown
below:

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text.
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature
from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in
Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through
the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source.
Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of “de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum” (The Extremes of
Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the
Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, “Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..”, comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
