In order to get the maximum benefit from these guidelines, they must be used consistently, as even small variations will undermine the impact of the PLFind identity. Things to remember Always refer to PLFind in full. When using the brand name on printed or digital materials, please always write it in Title Case. Use the brand device (magnifying glass) as a background component on printed materials ONLY as described in these guidelines. Never use the device on any other brands’ printed or digital materials. 3 Logo size Minimum size Legibility of the logo is very important. Minimum widths, when adhered to, ensure the logo is being fully optimized for use on screen and in print. The sizes below do not include clear space. Please ensure you add this proportionally. Our recommended minimum sizes: On print materials The minimum size on printed materials is 47 mm wide at a minimum resolution of 300dpi. 47 mm On digital media The minimum size on digital screens is 134 px wide at a resolution of 72dpi. 134 px 4 Clear space Give it plenty of breathing space Minimum clear space ensures correct presentation of the logo. It frames and defines our logo from other elements such as headlines, text, imagery and outside edges of printed materials and digital space. The size of the ‘S’ inside the large ‘e’ of the Education Scotland logo is used to define the minimum clear space around the logo as shown below: 5 Colour palette Primary colour The PLFind colour palette has been created to reflect the spirit of our brand.
