It could be about making a product, managing a process, delivering a service or supplying materials….” (BSI) A standard is a document that provides requirements, specifications, guidelines or characteristics that can be used consistently to ensure that materials, products, processes and services are fit for their purpose “ (ISO) “Standards are the distilled wisdom of people with expertise in their subject their subject matter and who know the needs of the organizations they represent” (BSI) Green ICT Standards @t ITU Led by ITU-T Study Group 5 (SG5) ICTs Standards Green "environment” + and - Green ICTs SG5 is responsible for studies on methodologies for evaluating ICT effects on climate change and publishing guidelines for using ICTs in an eco-friendly way. SG5 is also responsible for studying design methodologies to reduce ICTs and e-waste's adverse environmental effects, for example, through recycling of ICT facilities and equipment.
