Rohrer Scholarship DEADLINE: Friday, March 4, 2016 by 5:00pm SUBMIT TO: 105 Leasure Hall, ATTN: Melisa Posey AWARD AMOUNT: $500.00 ANTICIPATED AWARD DATE: March 2016 Established in memory of Dr. Wayne C. Rohrer, professor of Sociology at Kansas State University (from 1959 to 1987), this scholarship fund commemorates Dr. Rohrer's lifelong commitment to fairness and equality in racial and ethnic relations in the United States. This scholarship has been earmarked for students who are currently declared majors in American Ethnic Studies at Kansas State University. The Wayne C. Rohrer Scholarship is awarded annually and applications must be received in the American Ethnic Studies business office (105 Leasure Hall) before Friday, March 4, 2016 at 5:00pm. Anticipated award date is mid- to late-March. Application Process The recipient(s) of this scholarship will be an undergraduate student(s) majoring in American Ethnic Studies in the College of Arts & Sciences at Kansas State University who demonstrate significant promise and whose academic and career goals emphasize improving the understanding of racial and ethnic relations in the United States of America. In all other respects, these funds will be awarded without restriction to race, gender, national origin, religion, age, sexual orientation, or disability.
